Seller cancelled my order without my request. Was impatient for payment. I still had several days to pay. According to ebay. Seller says I can pay the full asking price if I still want the item.
I had made an offer and they accepted. Now they're just trying to get more money.

"Seller cancelled my order without my request. Was impatient for payment. I still had several days to pay. According to ebay".
How many days between the time the offer was accepted and the seller canceled? eBay has changed the unpaid item (UPI) assistant many sellers use, so that it will automatically cancel a transaction after 4 days if no payment is made. Read the info in the link below.
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/resolving-unpaid-items?id=4137
The old system allowed a seller to file UPI after 48 hours, and the buyer had an additional 4 days to pay.
You can try asking the seller if they will add the discount when they send an invoice. Ask them if they use Immediate payment required, and if they do ask if they turn that off for the listing. To get the discount, commit to buy at the regular price without placing the item in the cart, but do not pay. Then request the total from the seller. Unless things have changed the should be able to add a discount.

As a seller I understand. You get so many people who don't pay. So when they commit to buy it is taken "off the shelf". Then when they don't pay you lost that time. In my opinion, if you are negotiating a price and don't have the money, you have no negotiation.

I am not a seller on eBay. Haven't been since 2019.
2 or 3 days without any communication from you tells me you have lost interest and have no intention of paying.

Why would you make an offer if you didn't have the money to pay for it? When the seller accepted did you contact him to say you needed a couple days to pay? I think you're lucky the seller agreed to sell to you at full price. Most sellers would have put you on their blocked bidder list and moved on.

No one said anything about not having the money. If ebay says I have 4 days to pay and the seller doesn't have any payment due immediately Requirements or within 24 hrs etc, it's on them. They broke the agreement to purchase. I've got 2 gs in my paypal account,l, 3 gs in my checking account and 10gs in cash.
Money's not an issue....

Did he cancel the order with the reason “buyer’s request”? If he did, it’s probably because he didn’t want to get a defect.

Why didn’t you pay right away?

Now the seller is trying to make you “suffer” if you buy the same item from them because you didn’t pay - quickly enough for them.

Yes, and trying to punish you for not paying. Next time, try paying quickly. It really just take a minute and all you have to do is press a couple buttons. Good luck 👍🏻

Did the seller cancel or did eBay cancel it for non-payment and issue you a strike. If your offer was accepted if the seller has his preferences set to the minimum time allowed, eBay will cancel the transaction on the fifth day, I believe, and give you an unpaid item strike and refund the seller's FVF. Frankly, I'm surprised that the seller would consider letting you buy the item, even at full asking price after non-payment.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken eBay expects buyers to pay within 48 hours. Thus the 48 hour delay before a seller could open a UID. However, with their recent change in procedure they have, instead of requiring the seller to open a UID and allow the buyer an additional 96 hours to pay and then have to close it, eBay has decided to allow the seller after four days to cancel the transaction on the fifth day automatically giving the buyer a strike. In fact, they have set up an automatic system that the seller can set up for eBay to do it for them on the fifth day. I believe that they can set it up for any period between 5 & 30 days and eBay will handle each transaction the same.

Money IS the issue! If you are negotiating a price, and then want to take 4 days to pay, you have no money. Otherwise, you would pay it.
