Purchased a Sterling Silver Pink Riviere Necklace--May 24th 2020.Started a return--item not as described nor did it match photos.I uploaded the photos that did not match ,and issues not listed. in return,Return was accepted.I shipped the item back.I emailed her with the info and told her it's estimated day was Thursday June 4 2020--She had also requested in email ,that I put insurance on it for safe arrival,which I did per request,total to ship back was $19.15 for $600.00 insurance and shipping.I explained to her that I could not print a return shipping label--that I had no printer--but Ebay had always told me to give the tracking and shipping info thru email--that they could see it this way also,and that it would be fine.I told her she could go to USPS.com also and keep up with tracking,and even sign up for updates so she would know when it was close.She was worried about rioting and looters stealing,hence the insurance,which I did.I also signed up for updates with USPS.com--and they emailed me to let me know it had been delivered today June 5th 2020 at 2:24 p.m.front desk--reception.I tried to email her with this info also and to refund me ASAP,and could not get thru,I guess she had blocked me,now I am worried I won't get my refund--$600.00 is a lot of money.I can not call Ebay to step in or explain to them what is going on,and why there is no return label downloaded because I did it the other way--and now I 'm sick about this.I can't call Paypal either--no one is working or answering phone calls.Haven't they heard America is going back to work.I only hope Ebay can read this and help.June 5th 2020

From your 'Seller Hub', Go to the 'Orders' Tab and select 'Cases' from the drop down menu.
A new window will open. Select your 'Open' case and enter your tracking number THERE.
You don't have to contact the seller... do this by yourself. The eBay system will take over for you.

You should enter tracking number on the case's page.

PayPal will hold sellers funds until the return is complete, in other words she can’t have access to that $600 anymore once a return is requested. The seller has so many days to tell eBay that yes they got the item back so that the refund can be completed. I think after the period of time they have the refund will automatically be deducted from the sellers account to you. eBay will step in. I have had a few refunds but I always click that I received the item back, even if she doesn’t you still should get your funds back. eBay seems to always side with the buyer

@lagreyteecakes99* The tracking number MUST be entered into the request, not in a message. If sellers refunded you previously when you only sent the tracking in a message then you were lucky.
Go to the request and enter the tracking number NOW. The seller currently has 5 days to refund you due to changes in return timelines due to the pandemic.
IF the seller doesn't refund you after 5 business days return to the request and ask ebay to step in and help.

You are talking about the OLD way which was perfect.But Ebay keeps changing everything.I had a printer,and it kept clogging up with ink,so I got rid of it,and I never replaced it.Instead I went back to the old way,then Ebay changed the format for returns.Now when I ask for a return it takes me to a "Print your label" page,there is no where on that page that says " enter you simply shipped it "and "enter a tracking number", like before.If it were that simple, I would have done that.Before I called Ebay,and they always said when the return is accepted,ship it and "email the buyer "the tracking number,and info--that they would see it and would take care of it---now there is no one too call to make sure that still happens.I did email her from this store since she blocked the other one I purchased from,and let her know it had been delivered ,-and ask for my funds to be returned----how can she refund my money if she has me blocked?I thought you weren't allowed to block someone until your transactions were finished.Anyway it is time Ebay gets back to work,I don't see how they can operate this multi billion dollar business and no one operating the phones to help,and our only defense is here,it is ridiculous.

Contact CS on social media if you are not able to add the tracking as required.
Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible. To speed things up you can leave your registered account information in the PRIVATE message: Full name, address,phone number, email address, user ID and a brief explanation of your problem.

You have to enter the tracking number for the return into the case you opened--not just in an email to the seller. You will lose this case and not be able to open another one on eBay.

Actually I just checked the resolution page 2 check 2 see if the return had changed because I personally had 2 return an item not long ago and having no printer and no available public computer and printer due 2 the virus I had 2 purchase postage and tracking at the post office window and enter the tracking into the details of the return
And everything worked great.The resolution center gave me the SAME instructions as it did then for adding tracking number so it should work
Hope u find your answer I can't see why yours doesn't
