Refunds

I pre-purchased an item on May 31.  Item was to be released on August 19, 2022.  It was released on that date.

On August 27, seller responded they were sorry, they were out of the country and will send it.

As of Oct. 4, no item has been delivered.  Ebay said they do not refund on pre-purchased items.

I did involve Ebay in between this time frame.  Ebay said they would send me a "statement" in 2 business weeks

I contacted them at the end of the the 10th business day which is the timeframe Ebay said they would send me a "statement".

Ebay has said the only option is to contact seller.

Super frustrating!  Other than leaving a negative feedback, no options, I guess!

Thanks

Re: Refunds

If I understand right, the 30 days you had after the last estimated delivery date to open a case with eBay have expired.  If you paid with Paypal, you can open an item not received case with them.  Or, last option that I know of, do a chargeback on your credit card.

Re: Refunds

Oh,

Sept.06 I reported "Item not received"

Sept 14 Ebay sent "Let us know if issue is resolved"

Sept 19 Ebay said they would send a "statement" in 10 business days, which would be Sept 30.

Ebay never sent a "statement" .

Re: Refunds

They listed it too early. The policy is items pre sold have to be shipped within 30 days.  They were not supposed to list an item that cannot be shipped by 30 days.

If you paid with PayPal file a dispute there.

Re: Refunds

If you paid by credit card, call your card company.  Too late for eBay to help.  Sellers are not supposed to list or sell items that can't ship in 30 days or less.  Always pay by credit card for the added protection.

@dingalingsing1

If it wasn't to be released until Aug., they were not supposed to list it until July.

Negative feedback isn't even an option now.

Have a great day.

Re: Refunds

Thank you all for your valuable input.  I will take this to Paypal.  I never knew of  the 30 day prior release day listing.

Again, thanks to you all!
