Question about Ebay Advanced Search Usage

I Have a question about advanced search.

Lets say I search Test (A1, A2, A3, A4) (B1, B2, B3, B4)

Does this search ONLY produce

  • Test A1 B1
  • Test A1 B2
  • Test A2 B1
  • Test A2 B2

Or can it produce:

  • Test A1 B1 B2
  • Test A3 B1 B3 B4
  • Test A2 A4 B1 B4

If the latter search is not possible, how should I search to cover multiple combinations?

The latter. Any listing that includes:

  • Test
  • One or more of the A's
  • One or more of the B's

will be included in the results.

Listings will show up in that search whether they have any of the desired terms within parentheses, or more than one.  It would show all of the examples that you specified.

@trounormand,

It would be better if you posted an actual search you are trying to use rather than what you have posted.   You may be trying to add too many versions of an item which can cause the search to fail.  If an item you are searching for has been superceded or has a couple of variants.  Searching for just one of them will often produce results for several of them.

@mudshark61369

Here's an example search I'm trying to run:

Dress Socks (Pair, Pairs, Pack) (Green, Forest, Oak, Blue, Navy, Royal, Indigo, Purple, striped, stripes) (merino, pique, wool).

Theoretically, this should produce a search where the following will come up?

Dress Socks 4 Pairs, Green Stripes merino wool

Is that correct?
