Purchased as Guest - Item is a Week Late - No Recourse

I purchased an item as a guest, received the shipping notification on Jan 16, expected delivery date Jan 17 - Jan 20, shipped USPS.  I have not received a notification of the package on my USPS Daily Delivery, it is Jan 24, and I am directed to register for an account when I try to contact the seller or click any link in the eBay Resolution Center.  I cannot register for an account because I only have one email address which is tied to my eBay account.  I cannot import the order to my eBay account so that I can continue with any options.  What recourse do I have here?

 

I don't even expect the item yet but a shipping number would be nice - can't even track it because I have to register for an account.

I open the Order Details, click any of the three links to "Contact Seller", and am directed to:

I am sure this doesn't help the immediate situation. But I noticed that at least three of my shipments from 1/16 to buyers are delayed. There was a snowstorm in the  Midwest that helped delay things and shipping right now to the east coast seems to be going by way of Chicago to Arkansas (lol) and anything going to Houston is late due to problems with their systems. I just wanted to say as a seller that last week USPS had in my opinion more problems than usual.  Perhaps give it a little bit more time.

You don't need another account, but you may need to sign out of your current eBay account in order to use the links in the email that eBay sent regarding the guest order.

I was able to contact eBay support via Twitter, their link plus my own experimentation yielded a working process:

0. Be sure you are logged out

1. Follow email with to order summary page

2. Go to eBay "Contact Us"

3. Enter into chatbot: "I cannot contact seller" -> Should ask to confirm item

4. Select contact seller (not the option that opens a new window)

5. You'll be asked to confirm the item again

6. Follow instructions from there.

 

Thanks all...I've already received a refund after having contacted them yesterday.  Makes me wonder if guest purchases are abused by sellers because of the difficulties in holding sellers accountable.
