Purchased a tail light for my wife's car. I bought the item and paid immediately. The seller told me that the item was out of stock and apologized. A few days later same item is posted for 100+ more dollars. Is there anything ebay can do even if the item is reported?
Any help with this is appreciated.

Ebay places a defect against their account when sellers cancel for out of stock.
You can leave negative feedback.

Time does have a dollar value, & are entitled to voice your displeasure
