Problem with transaction and money back

I bought a mug from an ebay seller The item was received in small tiny pieces of broken glass.I opened a case on ebay for damaged item. I got a message saying accepted the case but cannot send return label. And a note that the sellerv is still responsible for shipping costs. At the case window it does not allow me to escalate the case and tell me that they will close the case on 5 February. My location is in Greece.Has anyone been into  such a situation as mine and what did you do?Or if you know what I can do ? Of there is nothing to be returned as the item is small smashed pieces of glass.Beware of this seller. And ebay has parted with the seller and not giving me a refund. Please if anyone knows what I can do inform me

@glikerizachar-0,

Since the seller is located in the U.S. and you are in Greece they cannot send you a shipping label. You need to pack up the broken pieces, take the package to the post office and get the cost for shipping the item back or ship it back. to the seller with tracking. Add a photo or scan of the postal to the dispute, with the tracking number and once the seller receives the package you will be refunded for everything.

Did you send seller photos that show the damage? The seller has a great reputation and probably would not require sending the mug back if you do that. Also offer to revise the feedback you left.

This is crazy .I will pay to return tiny pieces of glass which means shipping cost of more than 60 usd .Iam not a fool to do so and no one would do it.Also about pictures mentioned not all of us have cameras or are able to get photos. We are not professionals but ordinary people and being axploited in such way is out of question

In order to get a refund, you have to follow eBay procedures.  Have you communicated with the seller?  The feedback you left for the seller is inappropriate.  The seller did not steal your money.

Re: Problem with transaction and money back

You leave a fair few Red Doughnuts mainly for shipping delays / INR's, a seller has no control over how fast or how long a package will arrive to you, from experience your countries Customs is a slow process, items that arrive damaged in transit, again as long as a seller has packaged securely they have no control over how that package may be handled.

As long as the seller attempts to resolve the issue you should be aware they have done everything they can and are probably not deserving of the Red circles you freely hand out.

You should also be aware many sellers now look at the feedback you leave to determine if you might be a potential problem, it does not look good for the reasons you leave red circles.

You handed out 6 to one seller alone although it looks like they resolved the issue you had, you might want to re think if a seller is actually at fault in the first place.

Receiving items damaged although disappointing is not always a sellers fault.

Re: Problem with transaction and money back

International sales with damage are difficult.  Ebay may give you a refund without making you return it because of the high cost of shipping.  The seller may even have purchased insurance through the postal service when he paid for shipping.  No way to tell until you ask the seller.

If you decide to mail it back, will you be reimbursed for the shipping after the package is delivered to the seller?

Re: Problem with transaction and money back

When you open a return that's what you are requesting, A Return, How is the seller stealing your money ? They have accepted the Return, It's what you asked for isn't it ? You wrote with a Red Doughnut on the sellers feedback they were stealing your money - Totally Untrue.

If you do not return the item assuming the seller wants it back then you will not be refunded, what part of that are you not understanding.

Reading between the lines seems you just want your money back no questions asked, MBG does not work like that.

If you spent as much time sourcing postage and returning the package as you have here there wouldn't even be a problem.

This is not how it's supposed to be done.  For international returns the buyer does have to find out the cost for ther return.  Then open the return case, click on send the seller a message with the cost for the return label.  The seller is expected to either send you the cost of the return label in advance.  The seller can choose to request that you send a paypal invoice for the amount, which is fair, but that invoice must be paid before the postage is purchased.   If the seller does not supply the label or funds for the label you can have the return request closed in your favor.

Re: Problem with transaction and money back

They cannot send a return label but as the last poster mentioned, they are still responsible for paying for return shipping. But you will have to let them know what return shipping will cost. If they don't send you the money for shipping, you should be able to ask ebay to step in and they will likely refund you without requiring a return.

Re: Problem with transaction and money back

That's what he's after IMO, get the cost message the seller, stop accusing him of stealing the money, the sellers feedback looks 100 times better than the feedback this buyer leaves.

I would absolutely call in and attempt to have the ridiculous feedback removed, the seller accepted the return and in no way is stealing his money, he cannot pay if you do not tell him the cost.

Such unfair feedback from someone who clearly has no idea how the MBG works.

Re: Problem with transaction and money back

Is this issue related to this thread, or are there multiple problems with items shipped to you requiring multiple threads to solve?
