I purchased a steering wheel and pedals for playstation 5 February 14th. Seller said it would ship out February 18th. They created a shipping label in Illinois the 17th. Well February 21st they scanned the shipping label at a usps self service kiosk in California but they didn't drop the package off until February 22nd(today). Well the retail box from the factory is over 22 pounds. The dimensions are bigger than what a self service kiosk can accept. Meaning they would have to go to a counter to drop the package off. I called usps to ask about creating a label in Illinois and having it scanned in California and It asked about my package. Well the dimensions don't add up and the weight of the package is less than 1 pound and it's first class mail I've tried contacting the seller but I can't get a response. eBay says i was expecting the package feb 21st so i sent a complaint saying I haven't gotten package and stated what was going on. Ive take screenshots of the listing and our conversation. Shipping says it will arrive February 25th which is Saturday. I'll be recording and taking pictures of my package before i even open it. What can i do if this is a scam so that I'm not out of $750? I even paid with PayPal. What options am i left with? It says seller doesn't accept returns but i am eligible for ebays money back guarantee. Is there a way this seller can pull off a scam to make it look i am the scammer? Ive honestly never dealt with this before.

Well it looks like Monday is the big day. It's in my local city for processing. As soon as i get home and witness the package I'll be taking pictures and photos and contacting ebay if it's not what I ordered. If it's not even the correct size or weight I'm not even bothering opening it. How long does it typically take to get refunded?

Again, as many others have explained, no reason or need to take the time to do pictures, UNLESS it's not what you ordered. Why would you not open it at all? Please re-read all the information you have been given here about how to handle this. You're well protected by the Money Back Guarantee.

Yep, i was definitely scammed. Says delivered yet no package is here , nothing in my mail box for today either. How does sometimes move through usps or mailing services uf there is nothing physically there?

How do i go about changing this into an item not as described case? I don't see that on ebay since i already opened" the item has not arrived" option. Says my request is open still though. Do i need to go get the info from my usps first?

If your seller @dcason92 physically mailed

-- a spoon to some restaurant in your zip code

-- then uploaded that spoon's tracking number to eBay

-- you would not receive that spoon even though tracking says delivered.

You can either wait for eBay to automatically close the case, because tracking says delivered

or you can close it yourself. Then go back and click RETURN THIS ITEM

If you close a return case you can't open a not received case. But if you close a not received case my understanding is you can then open a return case. But if you don't want to close it manually you can just let it close on its own once tracking shows delivery.

And this is the info my post office provided me. They said they've delt with it before with ebay so it shouldn't be a problem. I wish i could get more info on this person 😡

Also, i purchased an Allstate protection plan so how do i go about getting a refund on that? I messaged Allstate to see what they can do but it says it's not covered by money back guarantee.

Someone from ebay has gotten in touch with me! Has this happened before? I provided the letter from usps. How likely is it that the seller can fake a signature or something go wrong with this process?

They're giving the seller until march 3rd for proof that someone signed for the package. What can i expect from this ? Can they scam me with a signature?

I am experiencing the exact scam right now. Item was from North Carolina but is being shipping from Santa Barbara, Ca. I made the order 4 days ago and i have not gotten any updates at all. My item was supposed to be delivered by yesterday, i was dumb and said i didn't receive the item. I am in the exact same boat as you right now but mine says it has not been delivered.

Did you purchase the same stuff as me? I am in contact with another person from north Carolina about this same stuff but they aren't replying although I haven't bought anything from them just yet.
