Ohio residents no longer have to pay sales tax on coinage. eBay, I think hasn't got the message. How do they get it?

i hope you get the message to ebay. if you also hadn't noticed eBay also charges the seller, the state tax collected from buyer, shipping fees collected, the item price and combine them and charge the seller 13% for fees. which is very strange because the seller never touches the state tax ebay collects and instantly puts it in their reserves.
so basically, after they tax you, they charge the seller an additional 13% of that tax you paid to the government
i.e. if you pay $1 for tax. the seller has to pay ebay $.12 or .13 cents kinda strange. now times that a million times a day. no wonder why they are still charging you ohio tax for coinage.

The 13% you mention is actually a fee paid by the seller to process the payment.
Taxes are paid to governments.
Fees are paid to businesses.
It is better to contact the state tax authority (Ohio) directly and let them deal with eBay, or what ever business is not calculating taxes properly.
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, be sure to print a copy of the actual listing and the payment details. You can always claim them back with your taxes.
eBay collects taxes for hundreds of jurisdictions and it’s an ever changing field. They can’t possibly keep up with all the minute changes. By contacting the state tax authority, they can deal directly with eBay to iron out the details.
Having individual eBay users contacting random eBay departments will only end in frustration.
In addition, when purchasing, be sure to use the full 5 plus 4 zip code to your location.

Good question, since they don't seem to care and make it difficult to even contact them!
