Not allowed to leave Seller Feedback

I purchased a table saw back in July. It arrived damaged, and the seller offered to send me replacement parts when they became available, which was nice, so I held-off on providing seller-feedback. Now, the Ebay site tells me that I have no items waiting for feed-back. So the lesson is, provide feed-back immediately and don't wait for problem resolution? Ok. I can do do that next time, if there is one.
If anyone has had this experience it would be nice to know.
Best regards.

You've missed the strict deadline of 60 days to leave feedback. Most buyers are not willing to wait months for a replacement. Maybe next time you will just go for a refund since leaving feedback is obviously important to you.

Ebay has a 60 day deadline for feedback to be left. I commend your patience but you need to protect your interests first~do not allow yourself to be strung along. I'm very sorry you had this experience with this seller. There are many responsible sellers on Ebay so I hope you won't let this sour you on the site.
"When they become available" is vague and nebulous and far too open ended. Suppose they never become available? Usually it is best to just go for a refund so you avoid situations like this. Try for prompt resolution, if not, open the appropriate case in the Resolution Center. In this case, it would be not as described.
Feedback can be revised if necessary, if desired, should the seller resolve the issue.

Don't know what you mean by saying that you may "slag" the seller the next time, but certainly hope it doesn't mean you would leave a negative for no reason.
And, BTW, are you aware that FB is entirely optional and voluntary for either party?

Powermatic has been "out of stock" on repair parts since July at least, and for that I greatly fault Powermatic. The seller seems like a nice guy who is responsive and I appreciate that. But eBay prevents me from providing honest and complete feedback due to their policies. So if there is a next time, I may slag the seller not because he deserves it, but because eBay demands it. Or not. I rely on good, honest, and complete reviews, and I try to provide them myself. Best regards.
Ebay does not demand anyone leave feedback. Its entirely your choice to wait months for a replacement. Please do not slag anyone. Its voluntary, not demanded.

Feedback revision requests can only be sent within 30 days after feedback has been left and the request expires after 10 days. That is something to keep in mind if you are going to wait 5 months or longer for a replacement. On the other hand, if you wish to leave a follow-up comment to the original feedback you left, there is no time limit on that.

You are blaming Ebay when it is not their fault. I'm sorry but 60 days should be adequate time to leave feedback, and resolution should have been accomplished in that time. There is excellent buyer protection here in the MBG but you chose to go outside those guidelines, and the seller could have chosen a more immediate resolution instead of indefinite hold, in my opinion. Hopefully you will hear from them again when and if the parts come in. Were you told what would happen if they never come in?

If I had left feedback within the 60 day limit, it would have been something like "0-Stars. Seller never made good on promise to provide replacements for the damaged parts within eBay's feedback window."
I waited because of the seller's promise to provide replacement parts, and if made good, the Feedback would have been "Seller gets 5-Stars for extra effort at making-good on his commitment. What a guy! Would strongly recommend this seller!"
Based on the responses I have received, people on this forum would prefer the first feedback scenario over the second. Peculiar mind-set. I prefer the second scenario. It is eBay which makes it impossible, not I, not the seller, and not Powermatic. eBay. We operate within their rules. I may yet recive the replacement parts and am ever hopeful!
Best regards.

I hope you can understand the difference in what might get posted as feedback. If not, oh well. I have wasted enough time on this.
Best regards

How do you leave a follow up comment to the origional feedback? I have never seen an option like that. Nore have I ever seen follow up comment on feedback.

How odd indeed. I see follow-up comments on the regularly @guybemis . Feedback follow-ups can be left by visiting the Feedback Forum, "follow up to feedback left" is an option on the right-hand side under Feedback Tools

You are only looking at your scenario. Had the seller said, I don't know when the part will be available, you can return for refund or I will refund x dollars and will list the part for you when they come in, you could have posted feedback within the 60 days and it would have been good feedback. It's not Ebay's fault. It's not that people prefer you leaving bad feedback, they prefer working within the guidelines that Ebay has set up, rather than waiting til who knows when for resolution. That's all. And there is nothing peculiar about that.
