There is a new rule now where Ebay will remove all negative and neutral feedbacks for cancellation. A cancellation is no longer a reason for feedback. No transaction took place so no feedback should be given. There are many reasons why a cancellation can happen but the bottom line is you as the buyer get your money back. More than likely Ebay has taken this step to help support sellers which helps them make money as well. Honestly it's no big deal. As far as the rude lady you are referring to there really isn't much she could have done for you. Once a decision is made on feedback it's final. Just know now that if Ebay decides to remove your feedback save yourself time and frustration and move on.

They may have seen the feedback you have left for others and preferred not to deal with you. That's a huge ratio of negatives. By cancelling, the seller eliminated the risk of a buyer who appears to be a little trigger happy with the negative feedback.

And then there is this? Seems you retract a lot of bids (which is basically backing out). But you are miffed that the seller did the same?

"I had a seller cancel an item after an auction before I had a chance to pay".
How long after you won the auction was the transaction cancelled? Many sellers have an auto cancellation for non payment after 4 days set up. Your feedback was removed because you had not paid for the item.
Considering the number of bid retractions you have, maybe you should consider sticking to chasing ghosts rather than bidding on auctions, and only use buy it now for items you want. I doubt that few if any of your retractions were for legitimate ebay reasons. If you retracted bids on one of my auctions, and I saw your number of bid retractions, I would report you to ebay. Especially, if you uncovered another person's automatic bid price, then cancelled.

Excellent job in telling everyone on eBay that you rip off buyers without actually telling them that you will rip them off. I don’t appreciate the aggression and rudeness, unless you’re one of the buyers that have tried to rip me off and you’re upset that I reported you to eBay then stay off my forum. And when it comes to the bid retractions, yeah there’s a lot but the way I go about it now because of people like the person I ran into that is forum is about And I would say from the way you attacked me probably someone like you as well, when I find an auction that’s at an extremely low price I’ll place my bid and then I’ll look at their feedback score if their feedback score is really high in negatives. I’ll retract my bid, there’s nothing against eBay policy for me doing that but what this seller did is a huge violation of eBay policy and the fact that you’re defending them and attacking me says a lot about you and your character, and A lot about what people can expect when buying from you!

This is eBay's forum not yours...LOL
Seems like eBay is not the right place for you

Retracting a bid is not the same as a seller canceling an order, I can understand how somebody might get those confused, lol, but canceling an order simply because you didn’t like the fact that you didn’t get as much out of the item as you wanted is a huge violation of seller policy and it wasn’t the first time the seller had done this to buyers on eBay. He has an enormous negative feedback list that was almost all what I went through, so I told him if he did not want me reporting him to eBay then he would relist the item at the auction price, and I explained to him that because of his repeated violations that eBay would probably suspend his account and wouldn’t you know it he relisted it within 45 seconds and I purchased it. Of course, being the loser that he was the item was defective so it was all waste of time!

There was no question as to why he canceled. He told me it was because he wanted more money than what the auction ended at and when I looked at his negative feedback score it was huge, he had 72 at least 55 negative feedback reports from customers that went through the same thing I went through so I explained to him that was a tremendous violation of eBay policy and because of his repeated violations, eBay would likely suspend his account or ban him from the platform altogether and wouldn’t you know it within 45 seconds he relisted the item at the auction price and I purchased But unfortunately, being the deadbeat seller that he appears to be the item was defective and a huge waste of my time, That is the kind of experience. I have been having on eBay in the last year, but I have gotten wise if I see an auction at an extremely low price, I’ll place my bid and then check out the feedback of the seller and if it is bad, then I will retract my bed and not do business with them, but in this case, I didn’t even think about it and that’s my fault but I truly do appreciate you turning this around on me. That’s Very progressive of you.

Why not check out the feedback FIRST and then bid?
If you get too many bid retractions you can be banned from eBay.

You left a negative or received one? All I see is you left one. Hmmm...history

After looking at your feedback left for others and reading your posts on here, I am sure that a lot of sellers are very happy that you posted on this forum.

Ebay isn't for everyone.
With 28 neutral and negative experiences and more soft positives out of 79 feedbacks left, you might want to see, feel, handle and check out items in B&M stores before purchasing them.

< I’ll place my bid and then check out the feedback of the seller >
For third parties reading this thread, that is exactly the bass-ackwards way of doing it. Check the seller's feedback first, before placing a bid.

The pot calling the kettle black RE: bid retractions.
You are wrong when you say there is nothing wrong to retract your bid if they have a lot of negatives. That is not a valid reason to retract a bid. If their contact information is not valid or they changed the description after bidding or you made a typo then you may retract your bid. no other reason allows to to retract. In the case of a typo you need to rebid immediately after retracting.
You are abusing the bid retraction policy and for all the negatives and false positives it appears you abusing the feedback process. I doubt very seriously you are contacting the seller to resolve a problem before you leave negative feedback,
Thanks for posting. I'm sure you'll end up on a lot of Best Buddies' List.
BuBBLe gum, anyone? There's plenty to go around.
