I ordered a Christmas present for my mom on the 7th and then it said that the estimated delivery was the 14th and has been at the same place since the 12th? And I am still waiting on it and hasn’t left the place since the 12th. I am getting very impatient.

Keep your patiency. It is very important

Unfortunately USPS hasn't been updating their scans either. I had a Priority Mail package that I shipped on December 7th that didn't have any scans after Dec 14th which was the estimated delivery date. I started a missing package search on Dec 21st which USPS closed immediately stating it was still in transit. It finally got delivered today. Give it more time as it will arrive.

I'm taking some packages to the PO today -- business not holiday related-- along with chocolates for the three clerks and the truck driver who I last saw filling a second truck with last Monday's 3pm pickup.
Those four women have been working hard and were still smiling.

I've had no issues with USPS - they deliver within a week or faster.
But overseas (China) orders were one big disappointment - not a single arrived since August (!) No more non-US shipments for me.

Well... Something that I paid for on the 20th arrived today, the 24th. From Sacramento, CA to Savannah, GA in four days. Priority mail.
But the package that I mailed to San Antonio, TX on Nov 23 is still "In Transit". Also Priority mail.
Go figure.

Is this the Seattle distribution center? I think I see my package in the third photo.
The package that's "In Transit" from Savannah, GA to San Antonio, TX...

The pictures are a mixture of USPS and Canada Post terminals.
And with one exception, those are not Christmas Rush illustrations, that's what terminals look like on an ordinary day --- pre-COVID.
Now add masked workers, two metres apart, with absences for illness or family duty, a surge in online buying which is after all just mail order, and the normal holiday rush...
