I am a little confused about the rules for multiple quantity items that have both Buy It Now (BIN) and Best Offer (BO) and was wondering if someone knew how it works.
If a seller lists a multiple quantity item and offers both BIN and BO what are the rules when a buyer offers to buy all the items?
For example, if a seller lists an item with total quantity of 5 and buyer A submits an offer to buy all 5 items, can buyer B still use BIN to buy 1 item while buyer A's offer is pending?
Or if buyer B submits a best offer for 1 item while buyer A's offer for 5 is pending and the seller accepts buyer B's offer for 1 item, how does that affect the offer from buyer A? Does that void the best offer from buyer A since the seller no longer has 5 items? Does it automatically get reduced to 4?

It is my understanding that fixed price items remain available for purchase until the item is sold by the acceptance of an offer or purchased by someone else. Thus someone willing to pay the seller's asking price could, by hitting the BUY NOW button, purchase any and all items listed in the listing while an offer is being considered. This would end the listing and the offer would become void.

Of course, I suppose that if there were any of the items listed that had not been purchased the seller could offer them to the one making the offer. However, I believe a separate offer would have to be made if the original offer specified that it was for all of the items listed. I'm not sure if the seller could simply making a counter offer would suffice.

Pendency of a Best Offer does not restrict the sale of any item via Best Offer or BIN. If the quantity available drops below the inventory available in the listing, the seller could revise the listing to add inventory to be able to accept the offer.
