Is anyone else with a MAC computer having problems with searches for items not loading or freezing.

Hi Folks,

This just started yesterday on my MACs they are  Macbook Pro when doing product searches on ebay. The results do not load completely and start freezing. Thought it was an issue with my cache or RAM - but this is not happening with any other website that uses much more ram or cache than a simple product search. All the other pages load fine on ebay but the search results do not - Anyone with and ideas / solutions ? Thanks

Im guessing you are using Safari?

Sometimes there is a script that goes out to lunch and will get stuck in a loop. Using Edge I will usually see a dialog that says 'Unresponsive script - End script?' Yes/No

I am not an expert with Safari anymore so I can only suggest this page with a bunch of ways to troubleshoot problems using that browser. Having another browser installed side-by-side is often useful to verify that the problem is either browser or page specific.

If Safari doesn't open a page or work as expected on your Mac - Apple Support

Hope it helps a little with figuring out what is happening.

Thanks for the reply - i'm using Google browser but the problem seems to have resolved itself after 24 + hours so there must have been a glitchy scrip. I did try Safari as an alternative and the same issue was going on - suspect it was an issue on their end.

A large amount of back and forth traffic for ads has been added.  There are sites that choose what ads to show on the pages, they then contact the company to load the ads.  Many "tricks" are used to weasel past blockers too.  That is all running as scripts.  They are getting caught in loops a lot and causing the browser to run or load slow along with locking up pages and your browser.  A restart can be needed at times to get things working again.
