Invoiced for less than price

Just wondering why the invoice I received with an item would be almost $40au less than what I was charged.

Since you are asking this on the US site ....

Without knowing anything about the listing, my guess would be that the invoice was in US$, not AU$.

Just a guess, your seller might have purchased the item from a company to sell it to you, and when he purchased it, it cost him 40au less than he charged you for it. That would mean he took a 40au profit.
