International package tracking has not updated at all, a week later?

I bought something from the UK (I am in the US). It was shipped on the 12th, but the tracking has not updated since then (it just says "tracking was provided" on both eBay and when I track it with 3rd party sites).

I usually do not buy from the UK, so I do not know how normal this is. I know that it is traveling by sea or air, so perhaps it just has not had a scan after initial shipment yet?

It says it is expected to be delivered by the 20th-23rd/26th. If it does not come by this date, should I then contact the seller?

The date is an estimate. Wait a few days after the estimate and then contact the seller.

Not all International packages track to the door. Most items stop tracking when it leaves the country and may or may not start tracking again when it reaches the U.S.
