Incorrect shipping address, name and package

This has now happened to me. How to get money back from situation. EBay sides with seller saying item has been delivered. Item to small to be my item was delivered by fedex to someone else's house with a name other than mine. Fedex shows it shipping details item dementions and upon calling fedex they disclosed name wasn't mine and address wasn't mine

Re: Incorrect shipping address, name and package

@honistseller1988,

If you file an Item Not Received claim through ebay, it will be turned down, because ebay uses a computer to check the tracking info, and all it can access is the general information. Delivered in your zip code.  If you appeal unless you get acceptable to ebay proof, they do not accept emails from shippers, again you will be turned down.  Your last ebay option is to contact them through their social media sites.

What you can try doing is first to contact FedEx customer service and  tell them what has happened.  Tell them an ebay seller shipped an something to a different address in your zip code.

  Give them your address and ask if they can receive an email that you can attach a screen shot of your Order details page to, that shows your address and the tracking number.

  If they cannot, ask them to send an email to you stating In General the shipping address on the label was not yours, and if appropriate that the package size/type/weight was not appropriate for what you bought. Then ask if they will attach the GPS coordinates to the message as a photo of the delivery location .  Take and save a screen shot of that message.

 Then use the link below to look up the delivery GPS location. An if you do not know your coordinates use the site, to get yours.

https://www.gps-coordinates.net/

Then contact ebay through one of their social media sites using one of  the links below. Use the blue send message button on Facebook.

https://www.facebook.com/eBay/

https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/

https://x.com/askebay

Again write out what happened attach the screen shot of the FedEx message and also a link to the GPS site with the FedEx delivery coordinates.  Then ask the rep to use the site link, to look up your address GPS coordinates, and if there is a FedEx photo compare it to the map street view of your GPS location. That should be enough for the Rep who is an ebay employee, to find in your favor and issue a refund.

For possible future use I suggest signing up for USPS Informed Delivery, FedEx Delivery manager, and UPS My Choice.  Those services are free to sign up for and provide the info you have to ask for by calling customer service numbers.  I would create an email account only to receive messages from those sites, because the USPS info is sent to you daily, and will clog up your regular email account. I use a Gmail acct. for them.

If you want you can also file a claim through PayPal if you use them. Do NOT file item not received, they have an option now for   Shipped to wrong address  on their site.

I suggest that in the future you check the feedback profile page of any seller you intend to buy from. Look at the numbers of negatives and neutrals they have received, and click on the numbers of them to read only those comments.

  Since most of the fake tracking scams come out of China avoid buying from seller's registered there.  If a seller has US or USA in their username, they are likely to be chinese drop shippers or actually located in China.  If they have less than a 98.6% rating like the "shack" you've bought from, hit the back button immediately.
