Incomplete Order

I have ordered a 6 pieces suspension kit consisting of 2 Front shock absorbers, 2 rear shock absorbers and 2 sway bar links, the delivery date is supposed to be on the 07th October 2025 but i received the package on the 03rd September 2025 with only 4 items, the 2 rear shocks and the 2 sway bar links with the 2 front shock absorbers missing. i am still thinking the other box its still on its way because somewhere upon tracking information it indicated that it was shipped in more than 2 boxes. but again i think they should both have their own tracking numbers . i tried to contact the seller through ebay contact the seller but he is not responding the messages and its day 3 since i received the package.

Yes, on ebay when you don't receive what you purchased it is considered an "item not as described" return.

There are many reasons for this type of return including, "Doesn't match description or photos", Damaged or Defective", "Missing parts and pieces", etc.

 

You need to go to your purchase history and click "more actions" then choose "return this item"

The seller will be required to provide the pre-paid return shipping label for a not as described return.

If the seller doesn't respond within 3 business days, on day 4 ask ebay to step in and they will refund you.

 

The seller may also let you keep what you received and refund you or offer a partial refund, but that's up to the seller.

You have 30 days from when you received the first box to file a return reuest for the missing parts and pieces.

Don't let the seller string you along past that date or you will forfeit your ebay buyer protection

The seller should have uploaded two different tracking numbers if they shipped all of that in two boxes.  You said you saw something about two boxes -- what does it say, and where are you getting that information?

Yes the tracking information from the beginning showed the items were shipped in more than one box. but what's surprising is the there is only one tracking number which is for the incomplete package i have received. it was just a sentence " the item was shipped in more than one box"

you mean i should file a return request for the missing item? i am not used to this, i thought a return request is when you want to return the items to the seller.

Missing parts or pieces @keleammera_0 is the only return request where you return whatever is missing, to get your refund.

That was a good advice but now the eBay system refuses to return, with the message "too early to open a return request".  i think the problem is the items arrived too earlier than the estimated delivery date which is 08th October 2025

According to this thread below you need to wait 48 hours after the delivery to open a return request.

And ebay often goes by business days so the weekend may not count...

I just noticed you received it on the 3rd so 48 hrs has passed already.

Is there possibly a second tracking number associated with the purchase?

Or else try contacting ebay on facebook to figure out why it's telling you it's too early.

If the shipping labels were created as multi-box, then the 1st tracking # is the master one and should bring up all related packages.

Hi @keleammera_0 . Was the seller located in the US or in a different country? Was this an eBay International Shipping (eIS) order?

 

If the seller shipped to the eIS hub in 2 boxes, that's against eBay policy, and chances are that 2nd box won't arrive. eBay requires a single box for eIS orders. The other items were probably liquidated when they got to the hub.

 

Whether this was an eIS transaction or not, as others said, you'll need to file a return request with the reason missing parts or pieces.
