Hello, I’m trying to buy a preowned fishing reel from Japan to the Philippines. Will eBay charge import taxes or will I be charged with import taxes when the courier delivers the unit in the Philippines ? I would appreciate if anyone can also provide the estimated charges or % charges.
please help so I have guidance on what to expect . Thank you

You have posted your question on ebay's U.S. based site. We do not know what the import or tax laws are in the Philippines. Usually, on a listing page, when an item is being sent from another country there is a message on the listing page that says the buyer is responsible for taxes and customs fees. However, here in the States we do not pay customs fees for most items costing less than $800.
To find out how much you may have to pay in fees or duties, I would look for your country's customs service Bureau of Customs (BoC) or Kawanihan ng Adwana online to see if they post fees on their site or to call them directly.
