I saw in news eBay is adding google play payment.

It will probably only work with ebay's managed payment system. I'm fine with it as long as it does not increase fees. There are lots of newer/younger members who probably do not use ebay because they don't want to be stuck only using PayPal, or giving out card info.

ebay announced it today as well, Starts in  April & is for those in Managed Payment
Just like Apple Pay

This may be a good thing as mudshark posted , many younger generation don't want or use Paypal
My Nieces & Nephews use their phone for everything, they never use a computer & rarely even carry cash it's all about the phone

I love it, my PayPal is tied to my google pay, adding an extra layer of buyer protection
