Hello,i received an empty box from the seller. The box had no visual damage.
How do i get my money back?
Sent photos to the seller,he said he will look at his cameras etc.
Read through other similar topics and all adviced not to open "not received" case cause it will get closed automatically since the status is delivered. Most say "return item" case should be opened and marked as "Missing parts or pieces". Thats what i did and got qr code\shipping label and system said i should send it back by 1st of April. Do i need to ship the empty box back or what? Anyone had the same issue, what did you all do to return the funds? Its just 30$ actually but anyway its money. Thanks

Yes, send back the empty box.
With the QR code, you go to the p.o. and they scan and print the label and attach it to your outgoing package.
Once tracking shows delivery, the seller will have 2 days to issue the refund and if they fail to do so, you can go back to the claim and ask ebay to step in. You'll get your refund.

The previous reply is correct, You did receive something so item not received is the wrong claim to file.
Do your self a favor though, check the return address on the box you received, if it's zip code is nowhere near the seller's location on the listing which should be listed with a city and state, take clear photos of that and also check it against the return address on the label you receive or get printed at the shipper's. If that doesn't match either the item location or return address on the box, ask for a copy of the label from the shipper. If they will not give you one take a clear photo of it showing the tracking number, before the clerk puts it in the bin. Some scammers try to beat the money back guarantee policy by having a return sent that gets refused or is undeliverable, which would cause you to lose the dispute.
"Read through other similar topics and all adviced not to open "not received" case cause it will get closed automatically since the status is delivered".
Many of those topics may have been about fake tracking information, which is where a scammer sends something, an empty box or envelope, to an address in the buyer's zip code, that is not theirs. Since there is a delivered scan, those cases are closed in the seller's favor. There are ways to appeal those disputes, and get a refund, but doing that does mean doing some leg work to get the info ebay will accept to win an appeal.

You have two choices:
Item not received -- but you DID receive something, so wrong kind of case to open.
Item not as described -- you did receive an empty box, so this is the case you want to use.
