I found a seller with 0 feedback, but they have positive reviews from years ago as a seller. How?

So I found an item that I am interested in purchasing, but the price seems a little too good to be true. So naturally I check the reviews, and they have 0 feedback.
But then I look around on there profile more, and I see multiple verified purchases and reviews from a year or more ago. Seemingly positive reviews as well (with defunct listings since it says “more than a year ago”).
I contacted the seller with other questions I had on the item, and they seem responsive and helpful. Nothing felt like a red flag in my limited eBay experience.
How does this happen? If they have older reviews they should be counted right? Why does it still say “0 feedback”?
And what would you all advise on the risk of purchasing an item in this situation? The feedback part is what’s making me a bit skeptical, besides the little too good to be true price. But the fact they they were responsive and didn’t evade my questions made me feel like it could be legit.
thanks for helping me out 👍

That is not correct. Your total feedback always shows. You show 2131 but your 12 month shows 57.

That is percentage of feedback. The OP said the feedback itself says "0".

Most of us have seen a variation of this issue asked enough times to know what is causing the confusion. 🙂

"But then I look around on there profile more, and I see multiple verified purchases and reviews from a year or more ago. Seemingly positive reviews as well (with defunct listings since it says “more than a year ago”)".
What you want to look for that is an indication of a hi-jacked account is, 1 or 2 purchases in the last 6 months or year. If it is a hi-jacked account those feedback were used to reactivate the feedback number for the full account buying and selling, also to find out if the original owner of the account is still keeping an eye on it. Though they will have (0) feedback as a seller since they have not sold in over a year.
To see if this is a possibly hi-jacked acct., on a feedback profile page Click on the All Feedback Received tab, then above the first feedback comment, on the right, where there is a Sort: Most relevant box, click on the down arrow in it and switch the sort order to Most recent (screen shot below) Then look to see when the most recent feedback was received.
As others have written,
Old account,
(0) feedback for selling in over a year,
low or too good to be true priced item, that is not like the types of items they sold in the past
= hi-jacked acct.
