I Ordered an Item that was Removed for a Policy Violation

I bought a clothing item and received it but it was stained. I went to ask the seller if I could return it but the item now says it was removed for a policy violation. I am new to ebay and don't know what this means. For my return? Can I still return it? Did the seller scam me?
