How to filter out recently viewed items from search

Would be nice if there was a way of tagging a viewed item as not to be shown again in a future search or in 'items like what you have searched" feature.

I am looking for specific items that need to be viewed carefully to see if they are what I want, but all the titles and pics are similar.  I keep clicking on the same items many times because it's hard to tell them apart from the initial views.  Would be nice to filter out previously viewed items.

You can use eBay's "Exclude" function to remove recently seen goods from your search results. the following steps:

View the search results after conducting your search on eBay.
Locate the "Refine Results" section on the left side of the page, then click the "More refinements" option at the bottom.
When you reach the "Exclude" area, scroll down and choose the "Recently seen" tick.
To adjust your search results, select "Apply."

I know this thread is from a year ago. "Exclude" isn't among the refinements I can choose. Has this functionality been removed?
