Hi All,
Someone or something has changed the language of ebay.com. Now it is in Hungarian, e.g. the product categories. It is terrible! My preferred language is English. I am seraching in English, not Hungarian. How can I set it back to English? Whenever I want to use a Hungarian language bidding site I use Hungarian webpages... I cannot find a vhange language option anywhere.
Thanks,
Aron

In my location, when I request an agent through the chat bot, I see an option to chat with an agent as well, but that option apparently did not appear for you, unfortunately.
The email form you reached does seem promising, though I do not have the same "visually impaired" options available on the ebay.com site, though I do see them on ebay.co.uk.
The response to submitting your form appears to be identical to the response that eBay sends when users send unsolicited feedback about site feature changes, rather than something that is related to customer service, though. Unless you get an actual response to your message, I would not necessarily assume that your form was actually seen anyone.
I think at this point I think you have exhausted your contact options, at least on ebay.co.uk. Perhaps try ebay.ie or ebay.ca or ebay.com.au? I think those are all the other English-speaking sites.
You may be better off reaching out to eBay via social media.

I agree with you, that was the reason why I copyed+pasted this text here.
Well, in the meantime I had another idea: Let's try to reach ebayinc directly. So, I found and checked this link on their pages:
https://www.ebayinc.com/company/contact-us/
where you can find a "customer service" window with a link:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/account/contact-customer-support.html
which will finally take you to the ebay.com, as this page does not exists, and it takes you to an error message first:
https://www.ebay.com/n/error?statuscode=500
Now it seems, that ebay eliminates all the former possibilities to get in touch with them in a written form.
Ebay: Whats going on here? 🙄

That customer support link that gives you an error works for me in the US.
It appears the problem is only for users in central Europe using ebay.com.

It seems that I have to find a working https proxy in the US 😕

Believe it or not, but Ebay replied to my message, and they are working on the solution 🙂 I hope, they will find it soon!
@eburtonlab: Thank you for your kind help!

Update: The links on https://accountsettings.ebay.com/uas started to appear, however some of these pages are still fails to open, fe. the Personal information subpage. It will show an error message (still not in english) and fails.

Update: the links are working, www.ebay.com speaks english 😁
There is only one minor problem waiting to be solved: the prices on the pages are still denominated in local currency, and there is still no option to select USD or something else as a default currency. This is true even if I customize the search engine to display prices in USD.
Keep up the good work, there's not too much to do! 😎

When you say "customize the search engine to display prices in USD", are you referring to this?
When I search in the US and use the search customize feature found on the search results page where users can change between List and Gallery view in the upper right corner:
I see some options, including the option to convert prices to US dollars:
What you see may depend on your actual location, but that might be worth checking or unchecking that box and applying the changes, particularly if it shows anything other that US dollars.

Thanks for the reply, yes, I thought about that possibility.
The problem may be that some local browser/internet settings overrides the original currency and on some pages ebay.com still display prices in the local currency against to the listed currency OR the pre-selected US$ selection.
