Seriously this is such a terribly designed function. It actually prevents me to find what i look for. Take for instance vintage camera Daci Royal. Ebay keeps changing to Dacia Royal on its own, even after i already choose photography category.
Found this advice but it is quite useless:
"To get rid of the suggestions that appear while you're typing, click "Hide eBay Suggestions" at the bottom of the suggestions list. This doesn't disable the autocorrect feature that changes your entry in the search field, though."
Ebay please hire at least one programmer instead of AI. And one real help person to address such serious issues.

If a search that has worked well previously suddenly starts behaving badly, often the problem has something to do with a faulty keyword substitution or an inappropriate automatic category navigation issue.
You can bypass many of these sorts of search issues by putting one of your keywords in quotes. This forces eBay to bypass the "smart" features and to search for the literal keywords without any substitution or category switching. You may have to manually specify your category once again.
Using a desktop browser, find the "Feedback" icon that appears in the lower right corner of the search results page to let eBay page developers know about your search issues.

You cannot disable the suggestions.
When you start typing "Daci" a drop down list appears with Dacia products, but it does not prefill the search bar itself. Once you hit the space button they disappear and you can type Royal. Be sure to add more to your search Daci Royal Box Camera or just Camera. There are 9 currently listed.

But if you search on just Daci Royal, you get 22 results in cameras.

Just shows that all this auto, bot, AI stuff isn't that smart after all.

Do not fight it.
Resistance is futile floor tile.

I strongly suspect that getting a bot to do what you want it to do (as opposed to what its limited default programming tells it to do) will be an increasingly necessary and valuable skill as time goes on.

I am searching for “knit picks felici yarn”. The search changes felici to Felicia and there is no work around. The common autocorrect is not needed in this app. Please disable it.

Put quotation marks around felici:
knit picks "felici" yarn

Try putting quotes around "felici" in your search keywords, like this:
knit picks "felici" yarn

Posting a suggestion like that here is unlikely to make eBay change the way search works, though you are certainly welcome to ask.
In the mean time, if you want to see different results, change the way you search.
