How Do We Get Final USPS Tracking from Orange Connex - SpeedPAK and 4PX Tracking?

Proper full explanation would be what some call a wall-of-text, more than this.  But packages are identified at my receiving location, by whatever tracking is on the label.  And there are a LOT of them.  So, SpeedPAK labels get covered over with a USPS number.  Contacting Orange Connex does not seem to work and sellers often cannot be bothered to provide the USPS number, despite Orange Connex easily giving it to them.  It looks like UPS Mail Innovations handles the labeling as a "shipping partner".  But even UPS can be unresponsive, even to managers a UPS Store.  The final "last mile" tracking is needed

Also, 4PX is another thing that's similar.

What can be done?   Could Ebay make a page and link in many languages, explaining to sellers?  How about a button to request (final) tracking?

Thanks.

@onelonecowboy1886,

There is nothing ebay can do to change shipping companies tracking information.  Partner shipping company hand offs tend to get a lower priority from the delivery company but should still show acceptance, and delivery scans.    There's two ways to avoid the problem.  Check seller's feedback profile pages before buying from any seller. Do not buy from chinese or china based sellers. All of the international shipping companies you mentioned are used almost exclusively by those sellers.

Re: How Do We Get Final USPS Tracking from Orange Connex - SpeedPAK and 4PX Tracking?

@mudshark61369: You are correct, but look at the labels on things you buy in most big-box or discount stores, the country of manufacture; 1 guess as to where most items are made.   All other things being equal, you're getting the same stuff, but cheaper, with a wait.  And you have more choices, not limited to what some big-box store's buyer decides to carry.  But acceptable quality items and service may be possible from and to practically any civilized area.  And searching Ebay, it's the alogorithm or whatever, which gives search results for items, leading to some sellers in some coutries.

Also, feedback scores can be misleading.  Some buyers complain for no reason, others not at all.  Competitors might ding a new seller too.  I've been on here for a long time.  I TRY to go with sellers 98% or higher, with at least a few thousand sales.  And STILL it seems some of those can be calloused or not care about buyer's concerns as negative feedback gets offset by positve, fake or not.  Some buyers give positve before getting items and checking quality.  But choice gets harder when it seems to be a hard to find item.

And to your first sentence/point, I'm not asking Ebay to change things, just facilitate getting what is needed, FINAL "last mile" (or last kilometer) tracking that is on the package.

It's not bad advice.  Even messaging sellers to ask FIRST, might be "best practices" IF you have the time, and IF sellers respond to questions from non-buyers; many do NOT.  But once an item has been ordered, it's on the way and what is needed is the tracking.  ...

So the question REMAINS:  How do you get the final USPS tracking for some of these carriers?  And don't forget some of the others like Aquiline (spelling?) LaserShip, et cetera.

@onelonecowboy1886,

"How do you get the final USPS tracking for some of these carriers".

Since I refuse to buy from China, I would imagine the USPS tracking should be available on their site. eBay's tracking on purchase history pages, comes through Pitney Bowes and it is not always as up to date or complete as the info on the USPS site.

Maybe the domestic shippers who are forced to give chinese sellers a much lower final delivery price than domestic high volume sellers pay, by the U.N run Universal Postal Union (UPU) treaty. Don't much care if they track packages to the door.  They lose money on each of the deliveries, and we pay more for postage.

FYI, the UPU rates China's economy as being on  the same level as Botswana's.

Yes many brand named items are made in China. However, the world's leading knockoff counterfeiter and copyright abuser is China, and their sellers often use brand names on items not authorized for sale by chinese sellers. That's why they can sell items for less. When searching on ebay the best away to avoid those sellers is not to search by Price: Lowest... or Best Match.  You can use the U.S. only filter to remove some of them as well.

I wouldn't buy from any high volume seller who has less than a 98.9% rating, but many consider the cutoff to be 98.6%.  When you look at a seller's feedback profile page and click on the numbers of negatives and neutrals they have received to read only those comments, even if they do manage to get many feedback removed, there are usually enough to give you an indication of the seller's issues. I never go by a feedback percentage alone. I also figure that many of the neutrals should be negatives, but people are so afraid of being labeled a cyber bully, that they do not leave negs.

Re: How Do We Get Final USPS Tracking from Orange Connex - SpeedPAK and 4PX Tracking?

You're not wrong, and briefly, I'm on a budget, ergo I've been searching with price+shipping - lowest first.  I've been on Ebay for a while.  I'd rather support the domestic economy and even go "prosumer" with desktop-manufacuring but don't even have a 3D Printer.  Maybe not the best choice, but clicking to buy direct from the country of origin, I'm saving money instead of enriching the big-box stores who most-likely have other choices and just do that for bigger profit margins.  But all this is more than a bit out of scope for this issue.

I'm familiar with the U.P.U.  Pitney Bowes, thanks, but I doubt they'll respond to an individual buyer nor receiving agent. Orange Connex - SpeedPAK did not.  As I mentioned above, I've noticed UPS Mail Innovations as a "Shipping Partner" in between SpeedPAK and the USPS, and it's a UPS Mail Innovations label over the SpeedPAK label.  What I need is the USPS tracking number to use the USPS site, as you allude to above.  You need the USPS number to set their alert for "out for delivery" or "delivered", et cetera.  PERHAPS UPS might provide the info'.  🤔

Sorry about that. We tend to go around the world and back when we don't actually have an answer for you @onelonecowboy1886 but would still like you to bask in our brilliance, and post for the sake of posting.

Just write to the email address on the tracking page, and they will give you the USPS tracking number.

Re: How Do We Get Final USPS Tracking from Orange Connex - SpeedPAK and 4PX Tracking?

Yeah, uh "thanksor whatnot, for yet another post, but that e-mail address is on every label slapped on when the parcel comes state-side, in the replacement sender info'.  And I already had an e-mail address from some Reddit post.  I would have also posted it in here, early-on, but for the forum rules against such.  It's the one that starts with "CS" at their website.  And I MENTIONED ABOVE THAT THEY DID NOT RESPOND TO SEVERAL OTHER MESSAGES, and to clarify, that specifically means e-mail, INCLUDING from some big corporate domains, which should NOT have been dumped into a spam-folder.

But, yeah, "... we suggest you can contact your sender for related solution."... Prior generations might have said something about "kicking the can down the road".  And contating sellers gets some auto-response apology that they've checked with the carrier and to wait patiently.

Again, the goal of posting here was to find out how to get the USPS tracking number, AFTER HAVING ALREADY TRIED TYPICAL methods.  I'll have to try and find some back-channel route to UPS Mail Innovations because I'm told UPS can't be bothered to even respond to i.e. a UPS Store manager.

Re: How Do We Get Final USPS Tracking from Orange Connex - SpeedPAK and 4PX Tracking?

Not "there" yet, but I did a bit of net-sleuthing, just asking UPS in a chat.  And I got a rep'/agent that at least knew something that might possibly help.  Don't have time now to follow-through.  But UPS Mail Innovations has it's own website URLs and contact info', but redirects are involved....

UPS tracking...  I tried a SpeedPAK tracking code, nope.  I tried the "Package ID",  on a UPS Mail Innovations label, which is just from the first part of a SpeedPAK tracking code, nope.  I tried a "MMID", which worked, but I've no idea what it means, nor how to get that without the actual delivered parcel in hand.   Obviously the USPS number is on the label, but AGAIN, the goal is to get that USPS tracking info' BEFORE it even is "out for delivery".

So, anyway the rep' wrote:

I see. I'm unable to answer to that question. You'll have to coordinate with your sender for further assistance or contact the mail Innovation group by browsing this online on their website www.mailinnovations.com or by calling the Mail Innovation Group to this toll free# 1.800.500.2224 for additonal information.

I followed the link and got to:

https://www.ups-mi.net/packageID/

And there's an e-mail address:

info at ups-mi.com

I also followed what seemed a waste of time link, back to general UPS:

https://www.ups.com/us/en/global.page

I didn't see a chat on their Mail Innovations site.  Have to look into it more later, unless someone else has time.

Create an account for informed delivery for your address at the USPS website.  Once you have an account you can see all mail and tracking numbers going to your address being delivered by USPS. Once my packages reach the United States, I check there and can see the new tracking number for USPS.
