Global Shipping Program: Processing at Consolidation Center??

Hey all,

I'm based in the UK and bought an item from the US. They used Global shipping program to ship.

Looking at the tracking details is very concerning. The guy shipping it on 27th July. The latest update is from 29th July saying 'Processing at Consolidation Center' and that's it! No updates since.

It was estimated to be delivered by the 18th of August, though I'm not even sure it has left the US. Can anyone advise what to do next? I spoke to the seller and said I will wait a week after the estimated date to see if there is any progress. Then after that he will try to open up a claim. I have 30 days after estimated shipping date to get a refund or escalate.

Last time I buy anything that uses the terrible global shi**ing program 😞 any advice would be great folks.

Has the package been given a GSP tracking number? It usually starts with something like UPAA______. You may be able to find out more details about the package, location, local courier and so on by tracking it here: https://parceltracking.pb.com/

The last time I received a GSP package (coming the other way, from the UK to the USA), it took a very long time once it arrived in the USA, but I received it safely in the end. There weren't any updates after it crossed the option for a long time, but eventually, they did get it to the USPS and it was delivered.

Goodness, I'm not sure how that typo got in there ...

It should have said "crossed the ocean" not "crossed the option".

I've been waiting for a motorbike part since October that was supposed to be delivered  10th November - but still hasn't arrived. Yesterday is the first time in a month the tracking has changed and it says -Processing at Consolidation Center !!

You may not get a reply from the original poster, because this topic is several months old and their last reply was posted on Sept. 2nd. 

You have also posted on the U.S. based site, not the U.K. one.  International shipping conditions are still a mess with new outbreaks of Covid, which may account for the delays.  It might help if you tell us where the seller is located, and which processing center updated the tracking information.   You may get better answers if you post this topic as a new one on the U.K. community boards as well.  The members on that board may have more experience with Global Shipping Program issues for items being sent to the U.K..

Maybe illegal stuff?? Thats what „consolidation“ does. Stop Items before being sent to other countries.
