Getting seller's business entity name and address from eBay

Problem with seller not honoring a refund.

Return was agreed upon past 60 days from original purchase, so not covered by eBay.

Seller agreed to take product back due to not matching description (was described as waterproof - seller explained it was only "temporarily" waterproof, after it immediately leaked).

Product was sent back and received, then seller stopped responding.

I'd like to file a complaint with my state's attorney general's office but seller won't reveal their business entity name, address or phone number.

How do I obtain that?

1. Seller agreed to take product back due to not matching description (was described as waterproof - seller explained it was only "temporarily" waterproof, after it immediately leaked).

2. Product was sent back and received, then seller stopped responding.

3. I'd like to file a complaint with my state's attorney general's office but seller won't reveal their business entity name, address or phone number.

3. No need. You paid EBAY COMMERCE INC if you check your statement. So that's the business entity name, address or phone number for your complaint with the state's attorney general's office.

2. But to get your refund @uberloop file a not matching description dispute here within 180 days if that's how you paid. Then when told to return the "temporarily" waterproof product, upload your sent back and received tracking number to get your refund.

1. Otherwise, file a not matching description chargeback with your card issuer, provide that sent back and received tracking, and get your refund.

Re: Getting seller's business entity name and address from eBay

@uberloop,

Your ebay protections may have lapsed but if you paid using PayPal they give you 180 days from the date of purchase to file not as described disputes.  You would have to pay the return shipping cost, but once tracking showed Delivered, you would have gotten a refund.

  When you sent the item back did you do so with tracking and do you have the receipt?  If you do you can try filing a claim through PayPal, or your credit card provider and upload the proof that you sent it back.

Getting the seller's real business name may be possible if you still have the return address. You may be able to search for it online. However, if the seller is drop shipping from someplace else that may not work.

If this is about a car cover, the two you have bought will both be junk.  You cannot get a really good car cover, for less than $300 anywhere.
