Extortion Email

EBay sent me an extortion email with no explanation.

They do not respond to posted phone numbers.
My rating has always been 100%.

I see nearly 20 years of purchases coming to an end.

Re: Extortion Email

What is an extortion email?  What did it say?  We are not mind readers and cannot help you because we can't read your messages or emails.

Re: Extortion Email

Post the message you received from eBay.

What exactly is eBay trying to extort from you? And how are they doing it?

More detailed information is required for us to be able to offer any reasonable advice.  Of course, one always needs to be wary of email messages claiming to be from eBay.

Re: Extortion Email

You berate eBay for not giving any information yet you expect help or advice withholding details. smh

Re: Extortion Email

My guess is that they are accusing the OP of extortion.

Re: Extortion Email

@arrowfletcher  did you threaten a seller with negative feedback?

Re: Extortion Email

Are you being extorted for something specific, or just being extorted in general?

If you have owned a dachshund, no explanation is necessary.

The history looks pretty good, I doubt this email originated from eBay, until we hear more, who knows?

Re: Extortion Email

I Contacted EBay twice on the phone and in multiple direct emails.
They reviewed the messages between me and the seller which clearly indicated no infraction on my part.

Then they said the negative feedback was removed by mistake but could not be restored.

Re: Extortion Email

They also removed the recent negative feedback from other buyers that had the same problem. Cancellation of legitimate orders without seller input and then resisting at higher prices.

Re: Extortion Email

Not at all. Paid him in full immediately at his request after he said I would be reimbursed by EBay for the item he didn’t have,  and then he refused to refund for the one of five items he did not have.

Then he cancelled all five items with no explanation to me, but told EBay I requested the cancellations.

Then he immediately relisted the items at a higher price.

Absolutely not!

The messages between us are VERY clear on this.
