Error when trying to message seller

Not sure if this is the source of the error or not but...

 

What is the end point of the messaging window for contacting sellers from the order summary/purchase history feedback page? And by that I mean days from the order being placed/payment being made.

 

I want to contact a seller about some items that haven't arrived yet, DO still have valid tracking, but that have passed the 60 day window that the feedback page caps at before requiring you to select 2021.

 

Also, I've bought several items from them before without issue. These purchases just didn't meet the cumulative threshold that they use for an automatic upgrade to FedEx shipping, and I didn't opt to pay extra.

 

They were shipped with Japan Post standard shipping (overseas cargo shipping), and the seller informed me ahead of time that JP standard would take 6 to 8 weeks. I know since then standard oversea shipping has only slowed down even more, so I fully expect the shipping to run even later. But I want to check if they've heard anything on their end.

 

Unfortunately, when I tried to use the Contact Seller link in my Purchase History page Ebay kept giving me a Oops! Something Went Wrong! Please try again later! error message.

 

Is this an issue with the age of the order I'm trying to contact the seller about?

 

Or is it a messaging glitch?

 

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Probably a glitch, but I would be concerned about opening an INR case at this point.

There is a work around for message glitches

 

Click on the member ID from within the message, this will take you to their profile

From their profile, click "Contact" on the right,

Select "This is not about an item", then "Continue"

Send Message

But as for opening an Item Not Received case?

 

When I said this is a seller I bought from several times, I meant at least 15 to 20 times. They've never bilked me on an item, so I don't want to file an INR over a known shipping delay.

 

I also think you might have misunderstood what I meant by over seas cargo shipping. By that I was trying to specify actual cargo ship shipping. The same type of ship based international shipping that's been in the news for the last couple of months, causing stocking issues in stores due to various supply chain logistics issues.

 

In fact one of the two packages, the one ordered on 8/5/21, just arrived on Saturday 10/23/21.
