Ebay reviews are FRAUDULENT!!!!!!

I've bought from Ebay for nearly 20 years, and to my recollection have never left a negative feedback. I left one a couple weeks ago because this seller was horrendous. I find out today that the seller "hid" the review according to the rep I was chatting with. Ebay is a place I buy from STRICTLY based on the review of the seller. Now I see I can't trust the reviews...who knows how many other people had the same experience hidden that would have caused me to look for another seller if I read it and save a month of headache out my life. Going forward Ebay will be the very last option...if it is even an option anymore...for me to buy something from. There's actually four items in my cart that amount to just under $700 that I was going to buy through ebay, just off of principle, now I'm going to take a drive to one seller's store and buy two of the items, and the other two I'm going to place an order on the other seller's website.

I don't like the fact Ebay presents this rating thing as something someone can trust and yet still allow sellers to hide negative feedback without investigating the situation and seeing evidence from the buyer's side. FRAUDULENT!! I'm going to be a dog with a bone with this one and see what outside agency I can light a fire under to dig into this fraudulent **bleep**. I know the UK government and the FTC are doing something about fake reviews....but hiding negative reviews seems to be the same thing, and I'm going to start with a letter to them and my congressman....the government seems to love big tech companies nowadays...and inducing customers with curated reviews and there's evidence all over the internet about it, I think they'll like that.

@qvae I don't understand... you're going to buy from eBay sellers anyway... but you're going to do it outside of eBay and be forced to contact your credit card company if something goes wrong with those website purchases? You're going to do this because some other seller supposedly hid some negative feedback or "reviews" as you're calling it. How did they hide it exactly? You're also going to waste your time being a dog with a bone over what you call fraudulent "bleep"?

Don't you envy people who live such charmed lives?  Some inconsequential thing that the rest of us would just shrug off as, at most, a minor annoyance looms in their blessedly fortunate lives as a problem so great as to be worth volumes of fussing and fuming and a resolution to call it to the attention of the governments of two nations.

Even eBay doesn't use feedback to assess member accounts.

FB is considered to be the leaver's opinion. Mostly the buyer's opinion, because sellers can only leave positive FB.

Feedback is rarely read by anyone.

The seller's future buyers are more likely to look at any FB rating over 95% as an A+.

The occasional future buyer who reads your neg will make assumptions about you as much as the seller.

(A three day delay is nothing to be upset about. Perhaps you should consider what the real problem is... and it is probably not eBay.)

Those few sellers who have an opportunity to read your FB left for others will also make assumptions.  Which among other things may mean few Best Offer acceptances.

eBay is a fraudulent website they've been scamming people on packages such as laser hair removal and all kinds of hair transplants and needles and Doctor supplies and things that you can't get from the USA and people been going on their buying stuff and waiting months for their packages and you have a receipt but no tracking number the bad the bad thing about it is is that you can go on these websites and spend your money but your receipt doesn't have the tracking number that's why you don't get no refund.

eBay is a scam artist they take your lasers your hair transplants your hair doctor needles and they steal it they take the money and they give you a fake receipt with no tracking number and they're trying to say that you can get your package within a month that's not true so make sure that you do not spend your money Jacqueline Robinson sorry people I don't want this to happen to you if they're making money they're making money off your product that you paid for.

You aren't buying anything directly from eBay, you're purchasing from a seller using eBay's platform. And you don't need a tracking number to get a refund. If you're going to continue to buy from Chinese sellers I strongly suggest you acquaint yourself with eBay's Money Back Guarantee:

I had to handle my package today it was because I didn't receive it on time but I still received it and I feel a lot better than what I did they made sure I got the package three days after but I had to do a lot of complaining and I'm happy I didn't receive my package broke or nothing they can sometimes take longer than normal.

eBay is no Icon, illustrious, wonderful business. They hosed Me Good ! I Sold an expensive item., the buyer has great reviews for me.., but CEO Jamie Iannone must have needed some extra bucks. He Kept my funds !!!

Yep, eBay & the Boneheads that run it, do NOT want anything.., that is not a positive review. Rather slick, how they NEED to make themselves look wonderful. They are Far from good beings.

you may want to re-evaluate how you think when it comes to reviews ive been selling on ebay for 23 years and ive seen a lot. there are countless scammers of all kinds and a large portion of negitive reviews come from these type buyers they use feedback as a tool to extort money from sellers (ie they offer to remove feedback if they are refunded) and of course you have a portion of buyers that are beyone unreasonable (ie shipping for an item takes 4 or 5 days to get to them and somehow that is not quick enough for them or a package gets a dent or tear in it even though the contents is fine, they order the wrong part and somehow thats the sellers fault even though a return is accepted we still did evil to them by not using our ESP powers and tell them the part is not for their application. I always help buyers even the worse ones but its never good enough for some. i could go on and on but i wont it boils down to you need to take a lot of reviews with a grain of salt. i can tell you all of the negitive review ive ever recieved were unjustified i dont have a bunch or anything but i can tell you that as hard as anyone tries your always going to get people that will lash out at you for some reason or another. i just had a nut job just this week he sent me a message didn't wait for a reply left negitive feedback went crazy started sending message after message all within an hour or so when i sat down opened my ebay to check things i was amazed. all the guy had to do was start a return or wait for a reply to his first email but nope we took a trip to crazytown instead. I dont see any way a seller can hide any reviews by the way the only thing a seller can do is contact ebay and ask them to review a feedback for removal like the crazytown situation i can probably have that removed because the situation was well beyond any reason. if you left a review in this type of scenario then it wont stick you cannot be unreasonable and expect ebay to leave that type of review in place.

Yeah i hear this from buyers frequently i dont know where these people went to school but they need to ask for a refund lol most of these buyers have the mentality of a common house plant. they live in their imaginary bubble of bliss completely unaware of how the world really works lmao
