Ebay outbid banners interfere with actually bidding on items I was outbid on.

Is there any way to eliminate the annoying outbid banners on the right side of my home page? This is the most annoying thing ebay has ever done, I am literally looking at the items I was outbid on while getting banners that I have been out bid. This covers up the links to bid, see other items ,etc. It never quits, I hit the x tab and 10 seconds later get reminded again. This annoying thing is making me loose out on items because when I go to click on an item a pop up tab jumps up and I accidently click on it. I have changed my preferences but still get these pop ups. Please tell me there is a fix?

@elkoholic,

There is not a way to get rid of the outbid notices. If you are only bidding one or two bid increments at a time, even if the pop up doesn't appear you will lose auctions, because you are bidding reactively.  The best strategy for winning ebay auctions is to place one bid, for the most you are willing to pay for an item, (automatic bidding)  and to do that as near to the end of an auction as you can or dare to.  Adding a few odd cents to the bid is also advisable, because it may break a tie. You can win an auction by as little as a penny at the end.  Read the info about bidding in the link below.
