Hi.
When I have searched for an item and wish to view it and click it, a new tab opens up. This has just started in the last week or so for me.
I am using my desktop and different browsers, Brave, Chrome and Edge. I have deleted all cookies and the cache. I do not use an app.
Is there a fix for this please?

This has been happening to us also, not sure if it is another 'enhancement' or a glitch. Same as you for the last week or so

Same here....it's annoying and I haven't found a fix.

The same goes here, however, do not delete cookies because without any cookies in your web browser the eBay will not recognize you therefore your account might get suspended.

I've also had trouble. I re-did my browser settings, changed browsers...it's really annoying. I also use a desktop and not a phone app.
It is also now affecting my ability to pay for items, because instead of getting a pop-up Paypal window, it tries to go to a new tab/window, and it will never return to the cart to finalize payment. I don't know if it is being affected by eBay's decision to discontinue Paypal for sellers spilling over to the buyer side (I'm not a seller, so I don't know how all that works), but I do know that I find it very annoying, so much so that it is turning me off of wanting to even browse the website; I don't care for the other payment methods they offer, so the ability to pay through Paypal is kind of a deal breaker for me on whether I shop here or not. Hopefully someone at eBay is paying attention and they get it fixed; I would think website issues are not something they'd want to have during a holiday weekend when people are likely to be wanting to shop.

This issue is still unresolved. I am getting new browser tabs opening for every item listing I click on while browsing the ebay site. Does Ebay even pay attention to this community thread?

Windows 10, firefox, not happening here (knock on wood)

Agreed. This has just started to happen for us as well. We have our browser defaults to block pop-up windows and still ebay is overriding this. Ebay, you are losing sales as we just stop surfing your site and buy from Amazon. It's disgusting and a sh*te user experience so why do it?

Always delete cookies and expire cookies each time you Quit/Exit your browser. These firms sell your data and target you with advertising via firms like Criteo when you are not on their website. An average consumer's lack of knowledge facilitiates them doing it.

New seller hub thing opted out fixed it for me

Extension doesn't work. Tried it multiple times, uninstalled, re-installed, cleared data, etc.. I had this same issue with the opening of new tabs and it went about a week and then stopped. It just started again today.

Thank you moto123moto - this appears to have fixed it for me also! The new seller hub is far to complex.

Your suggestion didn't work for me. I checked and my seller dashboard is still prompting me to "Switch to new All Selling view".
eBay has been frustrating me for more than 20 years, but I still keep coming back. The fees are ridiculous.
