I have gone back through my reviews, and in the last 12 months 50% have been negative, before that they are rare, and it's the same reasons.
1. Ebay allowing "US Stock" on items that are not...that's fraud. Ebay doesn't care, does nothing about it, removed my negative review, won't cancel the order because seller said it's shipped, then later get tracking showing an "international package tracking was created"...proving it wasn't US stock, proving it still hasn't been shipped. If I wanted to wait weeks and save money I can order from China myself!!!
2. Being sold incorrect or blemished/broken items. I was sold a gpu with the wrong stock photo, I can't use it..no refund. I was sold a "new tire" with "blemish" burned into the side, no refund.
3. Ebay has been ZERO help. They have removed my negative review for the seller that lied, they left a negative mark on the blemished item, but removed all of my words describing it, all while they have done nothing for me. I have been through all of the nasty help loops that take you round and round.
4. I really liked ebay...bad people are not a new phenomenon, but ebay assisting them is, ebay's customer service from India was useless. Ebay is obviously in decline, I have seen people blaming Temu/Alibaba/Amazon, but it's not because they exist, it's because they are BETTER, and Ebay refuses to improve, but instead chooses to get worse.
5. Oh, I have seen, and expect the classic bot responses to this. It's so ironic that ebay won't cut costs by getting rid of the bots out there simping for them in these comment sections, or the worst AI on the planet that they have.
6. Jump ship, get out of dodge, I warned you. Ebay, farewell, I will miss what you once were.

Im not a bot, there are no bot responses on the boards, so Ill respond. Every buyer is protected by Ebays thirty day money back guarantee, one of the most stringent on the net. And very easy to facilitate.Im not sure why your case was closed? Looking at the feedback you leave, have you lost your buyer protection with too many cases opened? Or did you try to file past the thirty day time frame?
As far as you being unable to tell when your item comes from China, thats a simple fix too. Just go to your items page, and check the shipping details, that will tell you where the item is actually being shipped from.
Unfortunately, you cannot cancel an item that is in shipment, according to tracking, if you dont get the item a day or two past the estimated delivery date, then just open an item not received case. If the seller doesnt respond to you, on the fourth day you can ask Ebay to step in and they will refund you. It doesnt take 'weeks and weeks'. Good luck.

Sellers are entirely responsible for their own item descriptions, not eBay. There are millions of different sellers on eBay of varying quality. If you want to only purchase from the highest quality sellers, you can avoid doing business with sellers that do not meet your standards by looking at seller feedback prior to making a purchase. If you want to avoid sellers that use stock photos, or sellers that are registered in one country and ship from another, you can choose to do that as well.
If an item is not as described, the buyer can file a "not as described" return to return the item at the seller's expense and get a refund. If the seller does not cooperate, ask eBay to step in within the time allowed to force a refund. Then leave appropriate feedback.
Feedback comments left prior to winning a case or feedback comments that violate policy are likely to be removed, so be sure to follow feedback policy.
Most issues can be handled without needing to contact customer service by phone.

eBay will still beat Amazon for those one of kind items that are not mass produced. It appears to me you are familiar with filling cases on eBay, such as items not as described, item not received.

So... it seems we will never hear from you again. Good luck with the junk items that you will get from Amazon which are the same as you get on eBay. On eBay at least you can check where the seller is located. Also eBay always provides money back guarantee on items that are broken or not as described. Amazon tends to do that as well. My advice is don't buy junk from any site

Check the sellers feedback page and see where they are registered.
If they are in China, a good chance the item will be shipped from there, no matter where the listing says the item is located.
2. Being sold incorrect or blemished/broken items. I was sold a gpu with the wrong stock photo, I can't use it..no refund. I was sold a "new tire" with "blemish" burned into the side, no refund.
That's when you use the MBG and return the item for a refund.

If the feedback you left violated policy, they will remove the comments.

I agree, CS is pretty much useless, that's why I never use them and look here for help or answers.
A lot of sellers here also sell on Amazon, and just like here, you need to check out the sellers

1. "Oh, just look at their feedback" Guess you didn't read the part where they deleted my negative feedback?
2. "Ebay isn't responsible for sellers" Why not? That is the problem, ebay wants to keep supporting garbage sellers. I am not dealing with it anymore.
3. Same classic bot response..."If you are dissatisfied, just spend time shopping, select item, choose seller carefully, wait unknown amount of time to get package from unknown origin, unpackage, inspect item, find you were lied to, got through return process, load up package and drive 40 miles to return the package" NO PROBLEM RIGHT?....makes total sense to you, because you must like being ripped off, not me. Really, this is the peak gaslight, as long as you spend hours wasting time and get your 14$ back through a refund you should be happy? Are you nuts?

Weird how every single response seems to be backing ebay...odd? Surely not a coincedence that people just hang out defending ebay on a communitry forum?

No one posting here is being paid by eBay. Folks that work for eBay have @eBay in their usernames.
And eBay does have a money back guarantee which can be used to get a refund within thirty days.
Accusing people that are going out of their way to be helpful to you of lying or of being bots is rude behavior.
Have a nice day.

1. So do extra footwork trying to find out where the seller is from...because ebay can't be bothered making sure sellers don't lie? Maybe ebay could charge a larger commission on people with lower ratings? Simple solution to keeping fraud off of your site...
2. Money back guarantee is a lie. Classic bot response, yeah, it's so easy...yet I have NOT ONCE got my money back with it...weird how you are so happy to lie.
3. I have no idea what policy my review broke, the review is erased from everywhere...no mention of what policy was broken...can't leave the negative and just remove my words? Weird?
Every response so far is fast, very similar, all pro-ebay...isn't this exactly what I predicted?

Really, to think that Ebay would hire and pay for responses on the board is just ludicrous. Ebay has nothing to do with the boards, the boards are run and managed by Khoros. If an Ebay employee does come in,which is very rare, you will see their post edged in blue, hence they are the 'blues'. I dont expect to convince you, when you sound like a conspiracy theorist. So carry on.I would watch the name calling tho, or Khoros will delete your posts, no hate speech allowed.

There is NO MONEY BACK GUARANTEE, IT IS A LIE, YOU LIE.

It's not that hard, just look at their feedback page and it'll show where the seller is registered.
Checking their feedback before making a purchase will tell you a lot about a seller.
Actually they do charge seller more in fee's if they drop below standard.
2. Money back guarantee is a lie. Classic bot response, yeah, it's so easy...yet I have NOT ONCE got my money back with it...weird how you are so happy to lie.
The few times I've used the MBG, got a refund every time after the item was returned.

No telling why the comment was removed but they did leave the negative.
