I use to spend over $150000 year on Ebay and because it's erosion, I don't spend much over $1000 and feel very insecure to use there services for many reasons. Is this just me?

Since they have a pretty air tight money back guarantee, ebay is one of the better places to buy

I'm mostly a seller, and have been selling by mail order since the 80s.
So I'm very familiar with the cost, in both money and time, of shipping.
That familiarity alone makes it comfortable to buy online, because I have a pretty good idea of what I can expect in the way of service.
With that level of buying, can I assume you were buying for your business? Have you moved some of your purchasing from using eBay as an intermediary for the same sellers? Have you changed what you are buying or has a local supplier set up in business?
I have noticed that my postage customers, most of them eBay sellers, have been spending more this year than ever before. Even though there are fewer actual customer they have moved from $50 transactions to $500 transactions.
All in all a pretty good year.
As a buyer, I am old and don't need much, but I am much happier buying from eBay than AZ. The last three purchases I made there produced only one delivery and I can't work out how to get a refund.

EBay claims to have implemented manny, manny, Improvements

As with most things in this world, change can be good for some and bad for others. Frankly, I remember a sign in a data center that said "If you're doing it the same way that you've been doing for ten years, you're probably doing it wrong."
I remember giving my grandson my old slide rule upon his getting his engineering degree. He looked at it and me like we had both just emerged from the dark ages.

Oh that's to bad you feel that way, EBay is the only e-commerce site I buy from. I have my saved sellers and do my homework on others and had great experiences here.

On the other hand, I can sell all the used slide rules I can thrift, and quite quickly.
I don't know if they are collectible or if they get used.
But I strongly agree that we have to continually change and adapt.

Let me get this straight: You formerly spent over one hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year on eBay and now you spend only one thousand dollars?
And now you "feel very insecure to use their services"? Why? All buyers have the Money Back Guarantee if/when a transaction goes wrong. Basically nothing has changed for buyers since last year when you used to spend that phenomenal amount of money on eBay.
