I need help

Hello,

I did not recieve the item I bought. I called USPS, gave them tracking info, and turns out that it wasn't even my address. Only a street, apparently. The seller opened then closed a case on the item after he shipped it and now it won't let me open a case and there seems to be no way to contact ebay. What can I do? Thanks.

Go to My ebay > Purchase History and locate the item and click on I DIDN'T RECEIVE IT.

Click the help and contact link at bottom of page. You have to explain to ebay it was not your address. If that fails and you paid by credit card, contact your card company.  There is also paypal you can file with if that is how you paid. But a call to ebay is the best way to handle it.

@gbeach89,

If you opened a not as described dispute and lost, it is because there was tracking showing delivery to someplace, or because there was an undeliverable as addressed scan.  eBay's automated Item Not Received (INR) system only checks for scans, it cannot check label addresses to verify information.

You can appeal the decision, but you will have to go to the P.O. and have a counter person get the info about the delivery address from their system. They will then have to write a note on USPS stationary saying the address was wrong or not properly filled out.  Take the details from your PayPal or ebay order details to show where the package was supposed to be delivered.  When you file the appeal you can add a clear photo or scan of the USPS letter to the appeal. that proof will reverse the original decision, and you will get a refund.  Appeal info in the link below.

Once you have that info, you can appeal
