I encountered a seller on eBay who is selling fake jewelry. When I pointed out that the item was fake, he threatened to call the police on me and accused me of attempting to return a fake item. To make matters worse, he has relisted the same fake chain on eBay at an even higher price. Despite reporting this to eBay, no action has been taken. I reported the item and the chat and he still reaches out to me because he is upset that my review is making it hard for him to resell this chain (he has posted for resell I believe 3 times already.)
The seller also responded to my review with false claims that can easily be disproven by reviewing our chat history. I am appalled that eBay allows sellers to harass buyers with threats and offensive language while continuing to sell counterfeit items. When an item is reported to be a fake, eBay should either require proof of authenticity such as an appraisal or a testing video because real gold does not stick to magnets and this one did.
Although I’ve purchased real gold jewelry on eBay before, as seen in my review history, I will no longer buy gold on this platform unless it's from a reputable jeweler. If anyone knows of additional ways to report such issues, please share.

Did you get a refund? If so and it seems as if your negative feedback has had the intended result, just forget about it and move on. The police are too busy or underfunded to bother with something like this.

You bought from this seller ad discovered it was fake? Did you not open an NAD case? Were you refunded? That's really all that matters. Anyone else who receives something that's NAD can do the same.
If you look at this from eBay's POV, you will realize that they probably gets lots of reports of fakes. eBay doesn't take down a listing just because someone claims it's fake. How do they know it's not a competitor or someone seeking revenge for an imagined slight?

Ebay has a 30 day return policy. You returned the item and received a refund in full. Ebay agents are not experts. They can't determined if an item is fake or not. You as the buyer are responsible to know if the item being sold is fake. Seller has many negative reviews. Did you look over those before you made this purchase? You did what you had to do which is returned the item and left a negative. Ebay isn't going to remove the seller based off your one complaint.
When you ask "If anyone knows of additional ways to report such issues, please share."
Unfortunately there really isn't any additional ways. You already returned it so a court isn't going to get involved. Law enforcement isn't going to get involved. Just have to be aware of what you are purchasing and yes purchase from someone reputable.

Good call out and feedback. I did get a refund after going back and forth. He reposted the chain for more money, which he bragged about doing before he did it. He started harassing me again about ruining his Christmas now that he is struggling to sell it. You are right It could be seen as a revenge situation but he also has reviews about bait and switch which this is not this is a counterfeit situation with a chat thread connected to the same exact item displaying the harassment, the threats and claims of having an appraisal. I just thought with Ebay being around for so long that at minimum they would be able to at least check the harassment and maybe I was not reporting it right but given your feedback and others, it looks like Karma is all that is left.

Thank you, I learned my lesson for sure. I think more than anything the constant harassment that went unchecked after reporting him multiple times was the part that was shocking. I was hoping some type of system was in place to issue warnings and then removal if harassment continued. He does have several bad reviews for posting photos of newer looking coins and sending older ones. I was not worried about that because the gold chain was at scrap gold price so if it was unwearable I would still keep it..... but it was fake and stamped 14k. I love trying to give small businesses my business and I have had good luck until now. People like him spoil it for the rest. At least I was able to get my money back.
