I’ve bought an item using the Ebay international standard delivery and the tracking seems to just get stuck at “Processing at consolidation center” at Glendale heights for 5 days now.
Does anyone know what is going on?

If your item has been confirmed as having been received by the eBay International Shipping (EIS) hub, it is no longer your problem -- any further issues are the responsibility of EIS.

The hub waits until they have a full container of goods going to your country. Sometimes that can take a few days.

OP is the buyer.
EIS is a Seller Protection program.
The seller is no longer responsible for delivery but eIS is.
Passing customs may take few days, usually import fees are charged before the seller ships, and these are confirmed at the IL plant.
You won't have to worry about them when the shipment reaches your country.
BTW, this is also a Seller Protection.
What date did eBay give you as the last estimated date for delivery? Mark that on your calendar and stop watching until it approaches.

Five days isn’t that long. Duration at the hub might be affected by the destination country. I’d assume that packages going to your location can take a few more days.

Destination -- Thailand.
Getting a pallet together would be a week or more. A container might take a month.

EIS has some seller protection, but does EISD?

"EIS has some seller protection, but does EISD?"
Good catch -- eBay needs to rename these services, since they sound too much alike.

This is the eBay page on EISD: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/shipping-items/setting-shipping-options/ebay-international-standar...
It comes with $100 'shipping protection plan' with the option to purchase higher values.

I’m only worried because the tracking number started with an ESUS, one I've never seen before.
Seller also shipped it using Ebay Standard instead of the one I picked “USPS Priority Mail international Padded Flat Rate Envelope”

the tracking number started with an ESUS....
@coleym
That is associated with the eBay Standard Envelope program. Though that service is relatively inexpensive, it has unreliable tracking. If it was sent to the EISD hub (not EIS), it may not track at all after that. It does not necessarily mean the parcel is lost.

instead of the one I picked
Which is a violation of the Money Back Guarantee.
If your purchase does not arrive by the last estimated date, open a NOT AS DESCRIBED claim, with the NAD being the changed shipping service.
But again, what is the last estimated date for delivery?
05-19-2025 09:54 AM
The estimated delivery date is May 18 - Jun 1.
I just really hope the package doesn’t get lost.
