EBAY tracking and USPS informed delivery both show order was delivered - I did not receive it.

The title pretty much says it all. Both showed that it was delivered on Oct 21 (cards in a small envelope with tracking.) but I never received it. I've show EBAY tracking before show that something was delivered and I got it the day after. But I already checked my mail today and it wasn't in there today either. So what recourse do I have when two entities show that it was delivered? I checked the box on the USPS Informed Delivery that said I didn't receive it. Is there anything else to do at this point?

Only USPS would really know where the package is. As far as Ebay once it states delivered there is no recourse. Few things could have happened. 

1) The delivered mark is an error on the USPS. Still in transit. Maybe return to sender cause you stated "Small cards in an envelope. Maybe postage is due.

2) The mail person delivered it to another location.

3) Could have gotten stolen or destroyed in the mail.

i'm expecting the worst here - out of the money - out of the package.

Is there any reason to contact the seller at this point? If I'm the seller, I'd be like "everything shows that it was delivered. Sorry, I can't help you" And I wouldn't blame him.

If it was shipped in an eBay Standard Envelope, it is common for it to be marked delivered a day or two before actual delivery because it is scanned at the regional center and not at the local office. Be patient, it should arrive soon.

Thanks. I hope so. I hate to think that it got delivered to Jim Bob down the street and he decides that he needs to have these sports cards.

Contact your local Postmaster General, they can help you. I've had a local mail carrier personally fired because he was marking our items as delivered, and stealing them for himself.

I was one of the lucky ones though, I caught him the day of so I got all my games I ordered back.
