I purchased an item recently on Ebay that had retouched photos of the item in the description and requested a return. Seller left a negative comment in his positive feedback for the NAD 4020 Tuner I bought. Ebay was contacted and gives lame excuses about appealing the feedback. Its a clear VIOLATION OF EBAY FEEDBACK POLICY. Yet Ebay leaves the negative comment. This is why I no longer trust Ebay to sell or buy.

That feedback comment violates policy and certainly qualifies for removal. I'm not sure how or when you contacted eBay, but get in touch with customer service via email, Facebook or Twitter and keep on them until they remove it.

I think you should be able to get that removed, sometimes feedback is removed 1 day a week for certain things,at least thats what I have heard.you can try to just grin a bear it for now until the call center is back up maybe,I can definteley see a CSR taking care of it for you

Unfortunately, even after that negative comment is removed, your feedback response remains. If you had not responded, that whole record would disappear.
Instead, it would still be obvious, a negative response to a "This comment has been removed by eBay" and a lingering blotch on your feedback profile. In the future, please remember that you have no time limit to leave a restrained, thoughtful response.
