Ok, so I have a PO Box and I also have street addressing service for it. The street address of my PO Box is the Primary/Default Ship-To Address. I never ever ever use the street address as my ship-to, but it's my default so I can bid on items from sellers that exclude shipping to PO Boxes. (If seller excludes PO Box, and PO Box is my default, I literally get blocked from bidding until I change the default)
When placing the order, I always switch my "Ship-To" address from the Street Address to the PO Box format when shipping to my box. I picked up a package today, looked down, and my street address format had been used. I looked it up on EBay and... My Order Details & My Invoice Both Show PO BOX Format Used On The Order!!!
So... did this seller take some liberties here, look up the address of my Post Office, and convert my address into Street Address format? (There would be no reason to, this was shipped via USPS, not UPS or FedEx).
Or... did EBay provide the seller a different address than I provided for the order?
Again, it is on paper a literally different address, but it happens to be the other version of the address corresponding to my PO Box. So, in the end, it made 0 difference as it went to the same location, but if EBay did it, they literally provided the seller a completely separate address than I did.
I feel like if I ask my seller if that is the address EBay provided... they will think I'm nuts...
Any thoughts on this overall?...

Your purchase has your default shipping address before payment.
That's why eBay warns sellers not to print the shipping label until after payment, as the address can change during Checkout.

🙄🙄🙄 Seriously?... How stupid....
I get so worked up over this and it's such a silly reason in the end 🤣. Also makes sense because they didn' print a label, they wrote it down and took it to the post office and paid at the counter. So they didn't pre-pay shipping prior to payment.

A seller would see only the shipping address you selected when you paid for the item. They cannot see any of your other ship to: addresses.
However, if the address you provided was the Primary/Default non street address P.O. box one,
Ex. John smith P.O. box 456 Anycity, 12345
They could have looked up your local P.O.'s street address. Maybe they ship other items using FedEx or UPS and feel safer sending items to the P.O. street and box address, so they get a delivered scan.

You can ask them about address format, but since you received your order, I would let sleeping dogs lie.
