Dealing with Experienced LIER Seller with FAKE trackings & multiple FAKE reviews

Hi Guys,

I'm dealing with Experienced LIER Seller who sent me 2 (two) FAKE trackings, which is already verified by customer service.

Tracking did not move to even "in transit" for 20 days already.

Seller is abroad (China).

Seller pretty much ignored me (just sent 2nd FAKE tracking w/o a single word), until the moment I opened "Item not received" case and leaved highly negative review.

Now Seller started to talk back and forth in regular messages (i.e. outside of case communication), but my trust is zero.

I also found a dozen of clearly fake positive reviews from the same person one right after another after my negative review, surely there's many more.

There's plenty of other reviewers saying this Seller is LIER and says bull**bleep** just to get around an issue.

I mean its quite clear that Seller will find a way to screw me one way or another,

so I need advise on how to deal with such an obvious LIER?

Say experienced cause there's thousands  of items sold by this store.

I still need the item, though there are options from other sellers too (not many though).

Is there a way to draw Ebay attention?

Thank you very much!

If you don't receive the item just escalate the case as soon as ebay allows and you will get a refund.

(Check the details of the case to see what kind of time-frame they are giving the seller to prove delivery to your address.)

Frankly, it's not that easy for a seller to "screw" a buyer.

Have you read the eBay Money Back Guarantee for buyers?

If/when your item is not received within a few days past its last estimated delivery, why not just open an item not received case? You have 30 days to do this with eBay.

After opening that case, then return to it in 96 hours and ask eBay to step in so you can be refunded.

The MBG actually works pretty well IF the buyer follows the guidelines for using it.

If you did actually open an INR case, you need to, as mentioned above, return to that case in 96 hours and ask eBay to step in.  There is no need for any back-and-forth with a seller and no need to engage in name-calling. eBay gives you the tool to fix this.  For heaven's sake, use it!

@stridder123,

When did you purchase the item and what is the last estimated delivery date for it?  If I buy the same item today, the last estimated delivery dates are May 31 to July 27.  If the tracking number you received is for a U.S. service, then you will see "awaiting acceptance" or a similar message, until the domestic service receives the item from  its chinese international shipping partner.     If you opened an item not received dispute before the last estimated delivery date, ebay will not do anything until it has passed.   In the future never buy from a high volume chinese sellers who have less than a 98.6% rating and always check a seller's feedback profile before you buy.

Yes, INR case is already open.

Seller keeps trying to talk this though in regular messaging like "do not worry, etc".

Estimated delivery date is 3 MONTHS from date of order. I don't mind waiting whatever shipping takes if tracking # were real. But both trackings are 100% FAKE and do NOT EXIST.

Seller must ship within specified handling time.

How many chinese sellers have 98.6% rating or higher?

This Seller has over 96% rating btw, but I'm pretty sure there's a plenty of FAKE purchases by himself etc.

There cannot be 10 identical reviews from same buyer one after another in a row.

Re: Dealing with Experienced LIER Seller with FAKE trackings & multiple FAKE reviews

It is possible the seller uses a logistics service that imports a large quantity of orders to the US then dispatches them from a US based warehouse. That might explain why the tracking number shows no movement yet. Anyway my earlier response tells all that can be done now:

If you don't receive the item just escalate the case as soon as ebay allows and you will get a refund.

(Check the details of the case to see what kind of time-frame they are giving the seller to prove delivery to your address.)

Re: Dealing with Experienced LIER Seller with FAKE trackings & multiple FAKE reviews

You saw the estimated delivery date when you made the purchase.

If the delivery date you have shown here is correct, you cannot open an INR case til that date has passed by at least 24 hours.  And I am not sure how you were able to open a case this early.

All of those other factors you have mentioned don't actually make any difference if the EDD is as far in the future as you state.

Sure there can. Many buyers buy multiple items from the same seller, and many buyers leave canned feedback comments. Put the two together, and the result is a series of identical comments from the same buyer.

Scammers would not bother leaving multiple comments from the same buyer, as multiple transactions in the same week only count once toward the total feedback number.

These shipments from China can take  an eternity to arrive, and sometimes do not arrive at all. Perhaps the tracking number is not fake but not recognizable for some reason in the system. My only bad experience was with a shipment from China from a clothing outfit there. 4 months and no item. No movement whatsoever in the system. At that point I went to PP and started a case. PP refunded.

Everything is possible, but chances for such a coincidence is 1 per billion at best.

There is no coincidence. Many users buy multiple items, leave feedback in batches and use canned comments. How is that a coincidence?

It took me all of five minutes to find four identical comments in a row on a major retailer's eBay account:

Someone bought four laptops and left four identical comments. Why would anyone find that surprising or suspicious? Do you honestly think that is an indication that Best Buy's eBay account is actually a scam account, padding feedback with fake transactions?

It would be trivial to find more examples of sellers that sell smaller items in bunches that have multiple identical feedback comments in a row from buyers, but I wanted to find one that you would recognize by name that you could not possibly consider to be a scam account.

Not every seller with bad feedback is a scammer; not every scammer has bad feedback (at any given time). Your seller may ultimately turn out to be a bad seller or even a scammer, but receiving multiple identical feedback comments from the same account is not an indication of that.

No. It happens all the time. Many different people use the same stock feedbacks.
