I was shipped something that was NOT advertised and a piece of trash. Requested return of course seller denied it. Called ebay and informed them of the situation said there was nothing they could do. It almost unbelievable that I was clearly scammed by a seller and ebay refuses to help. Any other options?
Thanks

How many days were there between the delivery date and your trying to open your return?
What was the exact reason that was selected for the return?
Did the original listing state that the seller accepted returns or did not accept returns?
Do you have the eBay item number from the original listing?
Help out with some info and someone might be able to help you.

Return an item for a refund | eBay
File a SNAD and return the item on the seller's dime.

Not everything is covered by MBG. What category was the item listed in? I bet it said
COVERAGE- not eligible for eBay purchase protection programs. Or if it was covered you didn't file within 30 days.
I looked at the seller's items you left a negative for and that seller has items that are not covered by eBay buyer protection. What do you expect eBay to do when you were forewarned?

It's a Bitter Pill, but I agree..
Everyone here, Buyers and Sellers alike, tend to believe that on-line flea markets, market places et et are similar or equal to the Amazons, Targets, Costco's whatever..
As we all Buy and Sell here daily, mostly without issue, we become anesthetized to the the fact that, for all best efforts and intentions, we're dealing with individuals, not a company. On these platforms, market places, sell sites, yard sales whatever, at some point due diligence and personal responsibility will always be a part of the equation..
Always

Digitally delivered goods state quite clearly in their listings that they're not covered by eBay purchase protection. So of course eBay is going to tell you there's nothing they can do. You assumed the risk when you purchased the item that so clearly said there was no protection.
