Nope, it happened to me too. I did everything correctly: I am the invitee, the item was >$15 and I used my debit card. But starting on the 7th, the code no longer worked,. On the 7th, it claimed that the code didn't apply. The today, the 8th, it claimed that it expired even though it is not yet 11:59p PT. I tried all day yesterday and all day today. It did work several days ago but I never bought the item so the code was unused. And I received multiple emails reminding me to use the code, one as recently as yesterday. See screen captures below. I tried contacting ebay but no one was available on the phone or chat.
