Corporate Honesty Drops Another Notch - Buyers take note!

  • Purchased an ebay item
  • Feb 22nd was the Guaranteed Delivery Date (GDD) at the time of purchase ($5 voucher if late).
  • Item ships the same day, USPS delivery estimate is the 23rd
  • ebay sends me an email with the GDD as Feb 23 and changes it my ebay!

What, ok, but still not cool.

  • It does not arrive on Feb 22.
  • It does not arrive on Feb 23.

Excellent! I get $5!

Nope!

Tracking shows expected delivery on the 26th...and guess what...in my purchase history, the GDD is now the 26th!

Ebay is changing the GDD according to what the USPS tracking estimates...it's not a GDD, its a Rolling Guess of when it will arrive to get out of paying the $5 late arrival coupon.

I called customer service, they immediately issued a $5 voucher...they know what is going on and are expecting buyers to not speak up.

If you want your $5, looks like you're going to have to ask for it...

@2....1....0....sold!  I agree with the complaint and believe you have the right to complain about a broken promise without being belittled for it.

It is one thing to encourage someone to not sweat the small stuff.  It is quite another thing to detract from discussion with a demeaning comment.
