Contacting the seller of an Ebay listing

I want to contact a seller of an item that was listed but it seems to be gone now.  I lost the bookmark, and now found it. All I have is a link. Is there anyway to find out about this item if the seller removed it, or sold the remote that I wanted to get?  Is there a way to find out who posted this by the URL and info I have, so I can contact the seller about the remote? I have the original posting header and URL .

@simplebuyer,

The 12 digit item number that is in the link you posted does not return any Advanced search results at all. That generally means either the seller or ebay pulled the item.  Unless you remember the seller's username there is no way to contact them.   In the future instead of book marking listings, use the ebay watch list button on each listing page.

Re: Contacting the seller of an Ebay listing

Thanks. I will keep that in mind. I did think about things like that, afterwards, that I should have even sent a message to the person and I would have had his name.  Anyway, thanks again.

Thanks. I will keep that in mind. Come to think of it, after getting the email from here about this message, I checked, and I did send the seller a message, and I do have there name. Thanks.  What's with a time limit to reply?  I just can't believe that.

Re: Contacting the seller of an Ebay listing

@simplebuyer,

There is no time frame for a seller to reply to a message, ebay does not require sellers o reply at all.   Since the item number did not show up in an Advanced search of active or sold listings, chances are it was pulled by ebay for a policy violation of some kind.   If you were able to get the sellers username, then use the Advanced button to the right of the main search button on an ebay page.

On the page that opens check the By seller button.  (the page will drop down)

Check the box next to [  ]  Only show items from,  and add the seller's username to the text box.

Scroll back up the page. Click on the completed or sold listing box and click search.

  If one shows nothing hit the back button and try the other option.

If nothing shows up in either search.  it usually means the ebay pulled the listing, and the seller may no longer be registered, in which case they will never receive the message you sent.

Re: Contacting the seller of an Ebay listing

I followed the link you posted and found the listing was removed and item unsold. However the mobile page allows you to go to Seller's Other Items and you will have seller name and can contact them.

You can add items to your watch list on eBay and save sellers as well by clicking the blue heart or Save button next to their username

@charlleines,

  "the mobile page allows you to go to Seller's Other Items and you will have seller name and can contact them".

That only works if you have the seller's username, and they have other items listed.  In this case, chances are the seller will become no longer a registered user soon.
