Confirm Bid button not working on app

When I try to bid on an item through the app I can enter the bid amount, but when I click on confirm bid absolutely nothing happens. It worked fine a couple days ago and then all of a sudden yesterday this started happening. No error message.... I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app already and I'm able to bid on the exact same item that I attempted to bid on through the app on my pc so I know I'm not locked out. Any idea why this is happening?

Frankly, I would be scared to count on the the app to shop on eBay.

Other users seem to be having problems bidding using the latest version of the eBay app.

Try using a mobile browser to bid instead.

Yep. Happening to me all the time. Extremely annoying and disappointing. Especially for the unknowing sellers who end up with a much lower price than what I was willing to offer. I've missed out on at least ten items in the last week because of this. Sort it out eBay. What a joke.

This thread is from two years ago and involved a particular problem with the app that was quickly corrected.

Make sure you have the latest version of the app for your operating system.

Try uninstalling, restarting your device and then installing the latest version of the app. The restart in between should ensure a clean install.

If that does not help, use a mobile browser to go to ebay.com and place your bid.
