Check transactions appearing on your credit card billing statement

I am on the newly revised ebay auto payment process & discovered on my credit card billing statement, two different posting dates & duplicate dollar amount entered for the same ebay purchase transaction 

I also undertook a review of transactions in my ebay purchase history

My recommendation, always carefully review your credit card billing statement, to avoid the possibility of paying more than once for your purchase

Did you look carefully at the wording of the two transactions?  One may be a hold on the funds, and the other is the actual payment clearing. I'd call the customer service number on the back of your card to ask why you were seemingly charged twice.
