Buyer Confirm Transaction

Is anyone having a problem with the remaining time that is shown on the buyer confirm screen. The clock will

start and then freeze with whatever time is left. In some cases there is a clock restart and another freeze. I am

having this problem with both Firefox and Chrome but not with the app on my Iphone. Any suggestions?

Several others have reported the problem.  There's frequently been a glitch counting down ... so I've always used another device for counting down near the end of the auction ... like a kitchen timer.

If you are trying to win an auction the best strategy is generally considered to be :

Bid once.

Bid your maximum.

and sometimes

Bid late.

Then if someone outbids you, they were suckers who bid too much.

I used to use the second hand on my wrist watch.  I have two 1-second snipes and one 0-second.  More luck than skill.  I don't try to cut it that close any more – as B.B. King used to say, the thrill is gone – but, if I did, I might use the timer in my iPhone, but I'd probably just grab the good old wrist watch again.  I would always open the listing early and do a few screen refreshes to gauge my internet lag time on that particular evening.
